I noticed a noise in the upper limb of my bow. If I hit the limb with my palm I can hear a rattle. I've tightened every screw and checked the C clips. Can't figure out what it is. Could it be ball bearings in the wheel assembly? Any thoughts?

I wouldn't mess with it anymore and take it to your Mathews dealer. I had a split in a limb on mine once that I never noticed but the tech at my shop found it. Don't risk causing anymore damage.

Mine clicks the first time I pull it back and only the first time. Need to take that in too.

Weird it only does it the first time. Where is the noise coming from?

Typically that "first time and only time noise" is a piece on or near the axel.

Yeah it is odd. Sounds like it is coming off the top limb/cam. Hard to tell. But it's only the first time I draw.

Keef check your qcc's they are the plastic clips where the York of the cable is attached to the top limb. If they are cracked they can make a rattle sound also check the bushing in the cam and idler wheel.
But just visually inspect them if u see anything there you definitely need to take it in.

My Z7 does the same thing. I have gotten in to the habit of drawing as soon as I get in the stand so I don't have to risk the deer hearing it if I am afforded the opportunity. Hopefully it's just something simple and is fixed when I get it restrung this spring.

Thanks for the advice guys. I don't see any cracks. I think I'll try applying wax to the plastic clip and see if that helps.

Please so your self a favor and DO NOT put wax on anything but your unserved string and cable.
Al it will so is collect dirt and cause more issues for you later.
Just take it to a shop to be safe

I found my problem, a loose screw in the string suppressor. Thought I had tightened everything but guess I missed that one. Funny how the sound seemed to come from the top limb but actually was in the lower one. Anyway, problem solved. Thanks for your input.
