so me and my girlfriend was shooting in the back yard this after noon and sighted her back in from her upgrading to a ultra rest HDX and a new kisser button and peep sight. we noticed a "boink" type sound and could see her string vibrating back and forth. but we never noticed this with the old set up with the old kisser button and peep. the only real difference is the old peep was a tubed peep and this is a tru peep. she does not have a string stop on it.

    any help?

While holding your bow on the riser loudly tap the bow in different locations. I had an Ultra Rest HD previously that had a noisy cover on the fiber optic cables. After taking it apart and placing some self-stick felt under the cover it took care of the noise. If you think it is the lack of a string stop you can purchase add-on string stops that work pretty well. I have never used one, but I believe that some of them attach to your bow via the stabilizer threaded hole.

Get rid of the tru peep......
Just get a plain rad peep.
U can add a string stop to the riser fir about $50. The QAD well not cause any extra string vibration. So I wouldn't mess with it. Also make sure ur sight is tightened down

thanks for the advice guys we got the tru peep cause it came in pink to match her bow, and stab, and kisser button, and string, and wrist sling... i think you get the idea. but it just doesnt make sense why it would start making extra string vibration now.

we did have to adjust the sight because the new rest set higher than the old one. and they had to move the d loop up. do you think the arrow nocking point is to high on the string now? causing it to vibrate more when the arrow is released high on the string instead of in the middle?

decided her string has stretched. we added a string stop and waxed the string. she shot it today and said it was pretty close to quite as it was.

what is a good way to tell if the cams are in time, other than just looking at them while someone pulls the bow back? i would like to check it myself.

A draw board is the best way

The Craze has timing marks on the cam... Just make sure the cable is within the diameter of the circle.... If it's not lining up you may have to put a few twists in the cable (or take a few out) to get timed properly...

they are in time! and my ballistic has them too just in case anyone wants to know.

so now is there any way that the string can stretch without the cams coming out of time or did the string never stretch?

I have never seen a bow that would stay in time if the string has stretched.
The bad part of the timing dots on the dual cam mission it can still be out of time but look like it is in the center of the dots. That's why we use a draw board at our shop

ok i really dont think the string has stretched but i took his word on it the bow is only a year old this month and we try and shoot once a week but dont always make it and we dont shoot as much threw the season.

i thought about making my own draw board but i think they are sketchy to begin with haha
