Just took all 3 shot them, again. 1 lights every time, 1 sometimes, one hasnt yet. Went back inside, all 3 lit by pushing with a nail. However the one flickered and had to press ut twice??

I have not had any problems with mine so far but I would try calling their cust serv dept to see if they could give you an idea of what is happening.

They get finicky if they get wet on the inside. Had one fail last year after a pass through - some blood got inside. Rain shouldn't make them act up though - you really have to get the submerged I suppose.

Then again maybe there are a few that are just bound to fail. Have to realize they're really just tiny electronic devices that are subjected to a ton of shock when fired and upon impact.

I heard that Rage bought them out and people have been having problems (haven't looked into this myself but will now). When did you buy them?

Ive had similar findings with my nokturnals as well. First doe i shot this year it didnt go off, second doe it worked perfectly. I've noticed less than consistent results when i test fired them also. I'll use these until they are done, but I'll likely switch brands or just not use them.

Well looks like I spoke too soon. Just tried one from my brand new pack of three and it won't turn on when fired. It turns on momentarily if I press the switch with a screwdriver but it turns back off.

Just emailed the company (Rage) yesterday via their website. We'll see what happens. I expect a replacement - otherwise it's just a heavier $8 nock

Now this is interesting. I think I might experiment with this one a little bit because I'm not overly impressed w. my Nockturnals. After having and using both, I can say I much prefer the Luminok's to the Nockturnals.

    That's awesome!

I found these that would probably work: http://amzn.com/B000W7BL7M (Disc Golf Beacon) that are $13 shipped for 3 of them. That's just under $5 each when you factor in some superglue and some extra nocks.

Definately beats the $9 per nock for the Nockturnals. Still haven't heard back from Rage about my faulty nock...

    Homemade Nocks

I have used Nocturnals bought last year as well, but I keep going back to making my own. They perform at least as well as the expensive ones and are somewhat tunable for about 1/2 money. You can turn em off and on without any tools or hardwear and they just work. The thill lights last a long time compared to lumenoks, but depending on what arrows you shoot you might need to do some tweaking to the process to find what works best for you!
As for the nocturnals when I shot them in the bag they worked about half the time, but they seem to need to be broken in a bit so they consistantly come on every shot.

Yes i have seen thoses too but if you go to http://www.fishermanswarehouse.com/shop/cart.php?m=product_detail&p=3971 they are $3.19 each and if you spend over $50 its free shipping. Also I used BOHNING nocks, they are big enogh so you don't need to drill them out and all you have to do is sand some of the plastic off of the light and they will slide all the way in. I think cost me around $3.50 to do one which is alot cheaper. I will post afew pics of them. And if people want me to do a write up on how I did mine, I can do that too.

Thanks for the info! I just heard back from someone at rage outdoors. All I got was "send that one back to us". No address to send it to, no other info. Not impressed with their customer service so far. :/

My nokturnals are before the rage buyout. I haven't had any problems with them turning on/off. One stopped working last year after I inadvertently spined a buck and he thrashed my arrow. Other than that, they have been a dream. I doubt I'll buy any new ones. Might try making my own. Did you guys say how much that is per nock?

Around $3.50 a nock. The real cost like I said before trying to find the cheapest LED. Takes about 10 mins to make. They are really bright. I was just getting tired of my tracer nocks breaking or not working when they should.
