Hey guys. I've got a problem. So on my property I have been getting trail camera pics of these 2 big bucks, yet I haven't gotten a single picture of them during the daylight yet. So my questions are: 1. What does this mean for my hunting this season? 2. Is there any tricks or techniques you guys use to get them out during the daylight? 3. How do I set up this season so I have the best chance at getting one of these two nockturnal bucks?

    Find the does during RUT.

Find their travel paths between where your cameras are, and where they bed.

Wait till the rut, big bucks get big by not moving a lot during the day.

In the future stay out of this area as much as possible, there are only a few reasons bucks go nocturnal, too much intrusion is a main one

    1. Limit the times you go into that area
    2. Try and figure out where they bed and move closer to his bed
    3. Wait until the rut and hope he makes a mistake

Set out an automatic feeder that only goes off at noon and shoot him quartering too you at 50 yards with your crossbow.

Or just wait for the rut like the rest of us. :)

Whitetails are crepuscular. Most of the time they are going to be a last light and through the night critter. Some older bucks can take that to an extreme. In my opinion, some bucks will only be on their feet during broad daylight hours a few days per year. The rut is your best opportunity to hunt these deer without having to hunt too close to their beds. Give them space and let nature make things happen for you.

Like others have said your best bet is to hunt the rut and hope they show up. Stay out of your area unless you really have to get in there, try and keep any deer in that area feeling safe and secure. You might think about making a mock scrape/rub with a licking branch to peak their interest if they do get out during daylight. Good luck!!!
