Bought a dozen Carbon Express Mayhem 350s and the knocks seem way too easy to come off. Tried Nocktural lighted nocks as well and they are just as easy to come out. Haven't had a problem practicing, but the last two days I went hunting, when I went to put the arrow back in the quiver, the nock stayed on the string and off the arrow. Is this something to wory about? Is there a fix? Thanks for your help. Mike
I put a small dot of crazy glue on my practice arrow nicks. Works well. My hunting arrows have lumenocks and fit tight in my goldtip shafts. Sent from my DROIDX using Tapatalk
I have the same problem with my mayhem 350's. I now take a small sliver of paper and wrap the part of the nock that goes in the arrow and slide it back in. NO more loose nocks and dont forget to go ahead and do the arrows in your quiver if you dont shoot them also. I do need to spin them to make sure they still are true though. A friend shoots maximas with bull dog collars and he doesnt have this problem.
Don't glue. Bag em. Take a grocery bag and put it over the exposed end of your arrow and then insert nock. Pull the bag away and melt of any excess. If it's still too loose, go to a thicker mil back like a sandwich bag.
Ya that makes sense. When I say a drop of glue I literally mean a dab so you can pull it out if needed. I like your method.
If it's just a touch, then it's likely with any amount of shooting it will come loose. The bag method is king. It was given to me by Rick James, he's an archery god.
It can also mess up the resin in the arrows and cause the arrows to shatter on the release. I glued mine in one time, not good. They didn't shatter but, the glue caused the nocks to break off when they hit the targets every now and then leaving part of it stuck in the arrow. It took me and a drill a good 2 hours to get them all out. It sucked. Now I use plastic wrap. Like the grocery bag deal listed above. works great.
Could not agree more with this statement. There are plenty of tricks but this one is the one to go with IMO.
If they are new... send them back to whoever sold you a defective product and buy something else. Archery equipment and your time are too expensive to have to resort to sticking paper under them to get them to work correctly.
