    So,..

Any idea in what our team name is going it be yet?

I think we have three votes for Shaft Slingers and I'll cast my vote for Nock n' Roll so that will make two votes for that.

Mornin'! I like Nock n Roll.

I'm going to try and hang another stand or 2 today at our place. I need to hang 3 of them here I'm just not sure I'll have time with everything else that "needs" done.

Only six more days to wait and the Kentucky opener will be here.

I usually build my own arrows but this year I just ordered a dozen pre-built using the "Build Your Own" tool on the Gold Tip website.

Strangely enough, it was a touch less expensive than buying he components and doing it myself.

I did run into two problems though. I shoot hard helical and they fletched them with a 3 degree offset. It made a big difference, so I stripped them and refletched then using my custom wraps from Onestringer.

When the time came to pick the five straightest, best spinning arrows to rig for my hunting quiver I was amazed that only six out of the dozen were what I would classify as straight. That burns me since these are Gold Tip Velocity Pro shafts.

I might have to start looking for another arrow after these are gone.

Anyway, my trusty old Mathews Heli-m is waxed up and ready with a quiver full of brand new, perfect spinning, Slick Trick 125 Magnum tipped Gold Tip Velocity Pro arrows and I even have the Tactacam mounted and ready for action. IMG_3408.jpg

Hey guys, I’m good with either of those names. I think Little Chief or Foodplot should be captain (co-captains?)

Sounds like Brett and LittleChief will be hunting soon. That’s great. We don’t open in OH until Sept 28 and run until Feb 2.
My daughter isn’t running XC this fall so I should have more free time on those first couple weekends.

I did some shooting this weekend but it was with my Sigs. My sister is in town and is in a Glock shoot next weekend and wanted to practice.

    What Sigs do you shoot?

I have a P220 10mm Hunter in Kryptek camo that I absolutely love.

    Nice!

I have the 232, 226, and 239 in 40. I have been very happy with them.

Use to carry a 229 at work but we recently switched to glock.

No luck getting a stand hung today. Too many things to do around here. Going to extract honey tomorrow. That takes some time, at least for me it does.

That's one thing I love about hunting out of my Summit Vipers. I don't have to worry about going in early to hang them.

I will probably still sneak in midday Friday and put two on the trees I know I'll be hunting so I go in totally quiet Saturday morning.

I don’t own any but they are nice. My nephew works in LE outside of Atlanta and he is a big fan.

Good point about the climbers Chief. I think I will be hunting out of mine more than past years between the logging on one end of the property and the lack of crops many of my current stands will be cold. Good option to have.

I tried using a Lone Wolf Alpha and sticks one year and absolutely hated it.

I love the security of the sit and climb rail being there plus they are so much more comfortable even with the Hazmore Silent Seats I use on mine for bowhunting instead of the big padded seat.

The trees I'm going in are difficult to hunt out of climbers in. I have a LW that I love if I'm trying to sneak in on a place. I have an old API if i want to sleep all day in the stand.

All I hunt out of are LW Alpha's. I love them. Just a matter of preference.
