    Hey Brothers
Sorry I’ve been MIA, you have to love when work gets in the way. We still have 31 days of hunting here in Louisiana. My farm has dried up, the deer went totally nocturnal on me. I have 8 different dogs running around on camera. I hate it for folks but I am fixing to pile those bastards up. You want a dog keep him on your place... everyone have a Happy New Years Eve and stay safe.

I feel you with the work getting in the way. I've had my share of long days lately. Good luck fixing your dog problem. Some people are just ignorant.

Your not kidding. I blew another opportunity.
I’ll be out this weekend if the weather holds. I might move a stand on Friday if I can sneak out of work for a bit. Good luck guys, keep after them.

    My season has ended
    I ate 3 permits
Thank goodness I got the elk in September or I’d be crying
I can’t express how terrible I feel about not putting any points on the board &
I made a terrible shot in a doe, then the rains came & washed all blood away
I came home empty & full of large stickers.
I stood a better chance of getting a deer with my GMC than my Eastons
I learned a lot & will be moving stands as well as adding a few
My cameras will be out longer & I will be in a better frame of mind come September
Sorry guys, damn sour performance on my part

No worries, It’s all for fun anyway. That was a hell of a nice bull you killed. Your whitetail season may not have been what you would have liked but damn that was a nice bull.

No worries man, it happens and I’m sure most of us have had a season or two like that. I know I have. Better luck when this years season comes around!

Your not kidding. I’m not sure what’s worse not being able to create opportunities or blowing the ones I’ve had.

No worries Brett. Life can be that way!! We all have "things" going on. I didn't get to hunt as much as normal this year either.

Hey fellas just checking in. I missed a couple hunting opportunities this past week due to illness but I'm back in the saddle. I'm stuck on call and working this weekend but this weather is crazy anyway currently 61 degrees with 25mph winds. My daughter was suppose to have ski club today...sorry kiddo there is no snow.
I may change up my strategy when I get back after it. I know there are some dear bedded on the eastern edge of the property that have been feeding in a different field. I may investigate that as I don't have any decent bucks where I have concentrating my efforts. I guess they don't like the pressure and getting shot at..
    Good luck, stay after it.

Hey Dan. Weather is a circus here today. Had an 1" of rain or so yesterday and now it's 20°. Wind is blowing and it's spitting snow. There is a thin layer of ice on everything. It would be tough to get in to a stand. I'm betting the critters aren't moving anyway. Maybe tomorrow evening.
We have until Wednesday to hunt.
    Good Luck, everyone!

Dang, where did the season go? Good luck Carter
Does that mean it’s just Russ and I after Wednesday’s hunting for points?
