    hi

just wanting to know what most people shooting a compound with a release has found to be the best nock point. I know this varies between each shooter but i just need a place to start. Ive heard alot of different things such as square to the string, 1/16 above square, 1/8 above square and even 1/4 above square. What is the best starting place and what is your nock point.

I've seen some manufactures make reccommendations, you may start there. The more appropiate thing would be to set center shot on your rest then adjust the knock as your tuning shows that you should.

Thanks for the starting point. Like indy said i will start at 1/8 and than paper tune and adjust where needed. One other thing - is there a temp way to set the nock location and dloop. As you can imagine it takes alot of time to keep serving in the nok point and re tying the dloop and than finding out it needs to be moved again so i undo it all and start again. its a very long process this way so is there a better way?

I usually start 1/8" high. But I have learned that my WB likes about 1/4" (or more). Center the arrow in the berger button hole (hole that the rest screws into), set the nock so arrow is 1/8" high from there. To make adjustment move the rest not the nock point/D-loop.

On hybrids and 2 cam I start dead level. On 1 cams I start about an 1/8" high

Assuming a release is being used.
