Here he is boys.. the Super 6. We rattled him into 35 yards... originally thought it was a nice 8, anyway I'm stoked about him I think he's pretty cool looking.
Nice DL!! I set my wife up on a nice buck for tomorrow, I may hunt Sunday if the schedule allows. I'm hunting all day Tuesday, hoping to make it happen then.
Super 6 is up on the scoreboard, he grossed 94 6/8. Good luck to everybody still holding a tag.. I'll be out in MI looking to put a couple does down still. Go get em guys!!
Saw a big 8 this morning before daylight, cruising the beanfield in the full moon. After that it was just me and the squirrels until about 15 minutes till dark when I shot a little shake 'n' bake doe. I'd post pics but you guys would just laugh, I drug her out with one hand whe carrying my bow in the other and stand on my back. Fried backstrap and mashed taters for dinner tomorrow night!
Well finally back from my trip. I scored the buck and he is 110 7/8". He weighed in just under 230 pounds. I posted score and pics in score card thread. Congrats on all the success guys. Unfortunately I can not contribute any more points for the team but I will keep checking in when I can.
Great job DL and MechDoc! Congrats to you both! I'm still trying to nail down my buck. He keeps giving me the slip. He seems to always be in the area with the wrong wind direction. Today, the wind was out of the West this morning so I had to hunt one area which he didn't show. Wind shifted from the North about 10:00am so I moved to the area he's been crossing (normally) in the afternoon. Wouldn't you know it, he crossed through there at 5:28 (pic says 6:28 because it's still on DST) this morning! And there are plenty more examples like this. This buck is going to be the death of me! Three all day sits in a row! Going to church in the morning at 7:00 then I'll be in the tree by 9:00 sitting until dark. Going to sit in the location of the pic below. My stand is 20 yards from the fence crossing.
Guys I'm trying like hell to put a buck on the ground this week. Had a few encounters with little ones and seen two shooters on the property but no ops on the big boys yet.
I will be out all day tomorrow trying to drop a buck. Wind, rain and dropping temps in the forecast, so I'm hoping it doesn't take all day :D
Put an arrow through him about an hour and a half ago, only problem is I nicked a limb and have no idea where I hit him. He literally ran wounded past a standing corn field and ran across my cut field. Thought for sure he'd bed down in the standing field. Tracked him up to the pond and backed off hoping he expires there and I can find him in the morning.
