Yep, I reckon any of those will do. Some are better than others but I don't think we'll complain too much if you can kill any of them. Which is your #1?
The very first one. A buck we call Peach. This will be my 3rd season after him. Guessing he's 7 or 8. He showed up one day on the farm and looked 5 to me. The neighbor showed us a pic of him the year before and he was smaller bodied but was pushing 170 with an 8" split drop time! Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk
Made it back from a very successful bear hunt in Canada. Trying to catch up on everything before heading out Friday morning to Colorado chasing Elk. Love the team name and will try being more involved with the group after the elk hunt. Bear story here: http://forums.bowhunting.com/big-game-hunting/first-bear-down-81901/#post1256576
Great story on a great bear. Hope your elk adventure is as successful. When do you go and when do you come back?
Thanks. We leave this Friday at 3:00 AM and return the following Saturday. I just hope I'm ready for the mountains and don't slow the boy down too much
Man I hear you there. I grew up in Douglas, WY and used to spend tons of time in the mountains. I got married about 12 years ago and moved to a farm in MN where I live now. Here the end of July we went out to stay at my parents in Cody, WY and spent most of a week in the Bighorns and the Beartooth mountains. Talk about feeling the elevation and I consider myself to be in pretty good shape. Good luck, have fun, be safe and kill something big.
Nice hitlist Bukfvr21... consider it a great season if you have anyone of those guys step in front of you this fall. Good luck.!
I unfortunately do not have a hit list. I'm hoping to get out and set some cams at a new public spot I found with a bunch of sign. I love running cams, just haven't had any cheaper ones to put up on public land.
Thanks. And I most certainly will be thrilled to shoot any one of them. Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk
Dumb trail cams... I thought I had both trail cams up and running so I put them back out on Saturday. The one on my smallest plot was acting kind of odd so I had a few minutes last night and decided to head out to make sure they were both good. Sure enough the one on the small plot (the most likely place to catch big deer) was dead. It made it a day and a half on a set of batteries. I don't know if it got some moisture in it or what but it was a little wet inside. I pulled that camera and brought it home to dry out. Moved my other one back to that plot so hopefully I'll get some pictures in a week when I go out to finish moving stands. On the plus side I got my Wasp Drones finally. Those things are nasty looking. I do believe they should do the job just fine.
When I checked mine last weekend one cam had condensation in front of the bulbs for the flash. Hopefully that isn't a sign Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk
Sorry for the late check in I broke my phone and just downloaded the app again. Can wait to get started
