Just pulled cards on my home property ImageUploadedByBowhunting.com Forums1474824724.173053.jpg ImageUploadedByBowhunting.com Forums1474824736.116823.jpg few good bucks showing up. Tonight I'm gonna hunt a different property that holds mega bucks so fingers crossed something wants to move. Should be a decent night small front moving thru hope gets them on their feet early.

Buddy hunted the farm since I couldn't. Guessing it was due to the wind tonight but noting moving tonight here.

heading out tomorrow to hang another set just incase I get a lot of south winds this season. after my card pulls yesterday I now can confirm I have a shooter at every stand location. now just have to be in the right stand at the right time. Saturday is our opener and 70% chance of rain.

Got to like those odds. Shooter at every spot means only a matter of time before one makes a mistake.

We had a cold front come through and its down to 44 this morning. The hay field was covered in deer as I was leaving for work. I had to quick fight off a case of huntitis. It was close. I thought there for a minute I was going to have to call in sick. I pulled through though.
I do have to decide how picky I want to be this year. Right now there's a small 8 coming in to the food plot almost every evening. Nothing to get too excited about but also nothing I would be ashamed to shoot for my first with a bow. But I also know there's bigger boys around and I think as the rut gets closer they'll come out of hiding during the day. Do I play it safe and take the 8 or risk waiting it out? I'm leaning towards waiting but...

I say feel it out. See how you react when the small 8 comes by. If he gets your blood pumping dump the string on him! If not you'll have a cool experience with him as he comes by

Anybody hunting this weekend? I'm hoping to but we also have a week with no rain so now have hay on the ground. Not sure when it will be dry but if it's the weekend it's going to have to take priority over hunting
