Well went to Cabelas to pick up some last minute hinge and walked out with more then we planned on. Also finaly bit the bullet and have been sick of freezing my butt off late season so I bought some late season gear and also bought some early season gear. Bought the Cabelas tec parka and pants also bought the rush creek jacket and pants and are looking at these muddy blinds
Geez man. Sounds like a fun day though. Let me know how the cold weather stuff is. I've looked at it a couple times and have close a couple times but never have pulled the trigger. I bought a dozen more screw in steps today if that counts. Not quite as exciting.
Holy cow man! You were a busy bee today. No more freezing your tail off or getting wet, that is for sure. Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk
Hey guys. Just letting you know I've been real busy at work this week working a bunch of overtime so haven't had a chance to put a list together of numbers. I work today then have a few off so I'll get it done and get a group text going as well.
Caught this guy on camera the other day. He'd do in a pinch but there are some better ones out there.
Hi all, Back from Colorado and the elk hunt. No luck at all but it was nice spending time in the mountains with my oldest. Now it's time to focus on the deer. Still have to get the stands up and some kind of plots down. Between the bear and elk hunts we are way behind this year. Count me in on the group text. Scott - 913.302.4982
I do have a menards in my area. I wonder if I need to go to the hardware store for anything today? Surely there's something I need.
Menards always has good prices on cameras and stands. I like their small hang on stands for like $35 bucks it's hard to beat. There is always some excuse to run to the damn place too haha
Plots are coming in nicely. We just ripped through our beans and spread our mix of seed and rolled over it. Our beans can never make it into late season they usually don't get any taller than a foot the deer just hammer them so we do this and it works out well.
Looking good. I'm checking mine tomorrow and hanging the last of my stands then hopefully stay out of the woods for the last two weeks before the season
Alright guys. Working on a group text right now. Looks like so far there's 4 that haven't listed their number. Totally fine as I get that some people just don't want to text or whatever your reason is. Just saying if you didn't want to get in on one make sure I have you're number.
Yeah, as much as everyone says it's cheap crap, I have had fantastic results from my big game tree stands. I have one ladder stand that is so solid it's unreal. Paid 40 bucks for it, and another 5 bucks for new bolts and nylon washers. Thing hasn't squeaked or anything yet, and it's been out for 4 years. Only thing is, they're HEAVY!
Yep, my favorite stand is a 2 person ladder I got there for 150. It's huge, roomy and comfortable but heavy is an understatement.
Just got back in from the soybean field by the house. Looks like there's something walking around back there that's got real big feet. And you know what they say about a deer with big feet...
