I know there are products down that advertise no disc/no till food plot stuff. I dont have access to any land that only i will be hunting. Im in a hunt club, during bow season we can hunt anywhere but its more or less first one there hunts it, and then we start running dogs after the 6 week bow/muzzleloader season.

I know i have some areas that i can use that are open enough for a very small plot. maybe in the rnage 15-20 yds x 15-20yds. I really would love to have a plot that i can effectively make using handtools, but also dont want to make any crazy plot and then there will others tree stands all around.

I know that sounds selfish, ok very selfish, but there are over 50 of us and more than half either bow or muzzle load hunt and i have only a handful of people that i would give some insight to.

So my questions to yall are this:

Would this be possible to achieve with any products out there?

Would such a small plot last through our October bow season?

When would be ideal time to plant in order to have a chance of lasting through bow season?

Would the food plot be able to be noticed to those walking through the woods chasing dogs once gun season comes? (dont want anybody finding a spot i get set up)

I know i may be asking alot of questions but i really want to jump into the deep end with a small food plot or two and a mineral sight or two. I just want to be alittle more involved, work a little more for a deer, and increase the chances of me and a few of my buddies. Thanks for any help any of you can offer.

So my questions to yall are this:

Would this be possible to achieve with any products out there? Yes you can achieve a small plot with minimum tools

Would such a small plot last through our October bow season?Depends on the deer numbers in the area, I personally would go with a mix with more clover in it as clover will stand up to browsing better, and a little bit of brassicas. (pm me for some more info on mixs that I recommend)

When would be ideal time to plant in order to have a chance of lasting through bow season?late July

Would the food plot be able to be noticed to those walking through the woods chasing dogs once gun season comes? (dont want anybody finding a spot i get set up) Yes if everything is done right and mother nature gives you rain. But a small plot ,a guy would have to walk into it and know what he is "looking at".

Alot of variables and ways go into putting in a food plot. Number one is figuring out how much work you want to put into it. So let us know what kind of equipment you have to work with and also how much "sunlight" this plot will get. More sun the better.
