The general intelligence levels of our country are going down. People in this country used to think like this.... 2 + 2 = 4 Now it is 2 + 2= whatever number they choose.
Don't worry, if the officer is found to have acted with reasonable force, all of the stolen/looted merchandise will be returned to the stores.
If we only had a strong black man in this country in power that could calm this situation, use reason to talk to these young men. let them know there is a better way.
There are plenty. However, most people don't want to hear it. They would rather act on emotion and do whatever they want without being impartial and logical.

These people don't want peace, they LIKE all the unrest they are creating, and the likes of the "strong black men" in this country like Jesse, Al, Barrack Hussein Obama, et al are not wanting to stop this because it gains them $$$ and influence.... I'll see it nearly every night at work, somebody gets shot over a drug deal, a disrespect, needing money, etc, and they are rarely fair skinned.... If the reports of Officer Wilson having a fractured orbit are true, then I think you're dealing with a justified killing of a man who in his last 20 minutes of his life made some incredibly terrible decisions that cost him his life. The picture of him with a mouth full of money, a liquor bottle, a gun and smoke encircling his head certainly doesn't make him look like the "good boy" or "child" that he's been referred to as, it makes him look more like a piece of trash that needs some whipping into shape. Unfortunately, he has missed his bus on learning respect and discipline, and now he is dead. I listen to the tape that was posted on youtube shortly after he was killed and the language of the people in it, and have to wonder how they can get so offended at the use of the "N"-word, when they blatantly openly use it even when referring to the dead carcass on the ground....
As a retired police officer I can say you are spot on. Thankfully I retired a couple of years ago as did my K-9. Even served 18 yrs on SWAT as team sniper. The regular citizen would not believe the scourge of society we as officers deal with every day. But according to their mommas they are all fine Christian boys. I was shot in the upper rt shoulder and the dirtbags mother stood up in court and said no way her little (250+ lb) boy could have done it. Even after I testified to seeing him shoot and fighting the gun away from him. My mean doggie bit the hell out of that fine young man!
I keep reading that people think the protests/rioting will gain them money. How exactly will that work? Property values will drop even lower. Many businesses will not return to Ferguson, and alot of people that are able to move, will. Maybe I'm just naive, but I don't see any circumstance that Ferguson or its residents will come out ahead, financially.
I have always thought that it has a lot to do with the "everyone is a winner" attitude that seems to be so prevalent theses days .

I'm talking about donations to NAACP, Rainbow Push Coalition, etc.... And the influence is self-explanatory, I think.... Just like Holder ordering a 3rd autopsy.... Does he really think the the St. Louis County Medical Examiner is an amateur and isn't capable of doing a thorough autopsy??? That's "influence" right there, just like his "influence" in the Trayvon Martin thing... In BOTH of these situations, had these young black men been the "good boys" their parents described, then they wouldn't have been involved in the stuff they were involved in!!!! A strong black man like Ben Carson or TD Jakes aren't likely to change the problem because they aren't going to coddle the bad behavior, and poo-poo things like Barry, and Jesse, and Al would. These guys would tell it like it is, and this is a community that isn't going to hear that, because they don't want to deal with the truth... Capt. Ron from the Missouri State Police didn't do the police side of things any favors when he went and made his famously ignorant speech about his "black son" who wears his hat "cocked," and pants "sagging," either IMHO. People need to learn about "responsibility for actions," and "doing the right thing." If that were my son, I'd be in an uprage too, in an uprage that I didn't get to whoop his *** before the cop shot him so he would know how much I personally disapproved of him robbing the store, walking down the middle of the street, not obeying the officer's orders to "get on the sidewalk," and then attacking the officer. But I don't have a son, I have two daughters, and my two daughters are being raised with a FATHER present, and in a home where they've learned about being responsible for their actions, both good and bad, and doing the RIGHT thing, and treating others with respect.

I got through the first 30 seconds then I couldn't take anymore. Jay Nixon is a cowardly SOB . All that punk does is pander. I would really hope that all these damn "officials" who have already cast judgement before facts are heard are forced to step down on the grounds of stupidity and incompetence. To think that this punk may that video on Missouri tax payer's time. He sure liked having the cops there when the rioters ( I mean protestors) tried to storm his st.Louis office. Just who the hell does he think runs his security detail? To all law enforcement, I would like to apologize to you for our governor being such a waste of space and a coward. And I'm not one to agree with law enforcement on everything they do, but damn this guy is a joke.
Difficult to read the sarcasm without "italics" and intonation..... :D But seriously, if a STRONG black influence, such as maybe a LeBron James, Michael Jordan, Patrick Willis, (name another famous black athlete that most of these guys may recognize who doesn't have a "questionable tainted past") could step in there and say "Wait a minute," (sarcasm and a little musical twist intended.... But seriously, if someone could ask the people to step back, and look at the facts rather than the LIES that have been perpetrated, it may make a difference in THIS specific case. Furthermore, if people could look at FACTS, rather than rumors, it may make things a little more clear.... If JACKASSES like Benjamin Crump could refer to Michael Brown, 6'4" and 292#, as a man, rather than a "child," it might have a different connotation... If the cop had been BLACK, we'd have never heard about this unless we lived in Ferguson..... RACE is the issue, and the RACISTS unfortunately seem to be those who play the race card and cry about how everyone else discriminates against them.... How often do you hear about an Asian man being killed by the police, and the NAACP and Asian leaders come out claiming racism??? Insert Hispanic in the place of Asian, and propose the same question, and then, any other "minority." Tell me the result.... Bronson, I hope you can find peace in your retirement and enjoy life as it should be.... I appreciate what you've done as a LEO, as much as what myself and many others have done as veterans....
Any of those thugs caught looting or destroying property should be given the max sentence for said crime, with an option to work off half of the sentence if they help rebuild the town of Ferguson.
