This is just crazy. It's this type of non sense that makes people prepare themselves. My thoughts go out to the folks in Ferguson that abide by the law, and are good citizens. I've got to wonder how many innocent people have been taken advantage of by these rioters.
Thanks for your service! I couldn't be a police officer, for fear of reprisal to save my own life. It seems to me now days that our society would rather see a police officer sacrificed in order to appease the masses of criminals in our society. It makes me sick to imagine that when a police officer is killed in the line of duty there is never anything done by our citizens on his, or her behalf. NOTHING! zero! Had that young police officer been killed in that specific incident it would have never made the news. Never has defending our selves in society been more dangerous than today.
Regardless of the facts that come out. Looters should be shot on sight, they are criminals. I remember Hurricane Frederick in Mobile (1979?) Governor James instructed the National Guard to do just that. Hurricane Hugo, Police Chief Reuben Greenberg told his police... "don't arrest the looters, beat them til they can't walk"
Great folks there in Ferguson.....great...not one word condemning him for strong armed robbery or fighting with a cop...none.
I wonder why those fine young men would want to hide their faces, the one fella looks cold with that hat and scarf, while the other is in shorts and shirtless. I'm sure their deceased young friend is proud of the memorial statement these folks are leaving, of course it will all be forgotten Monday when the work week starts again. I'm not sure why folks tolerate looting, it must be a city thing, I'm thinking there would be a bit more shooting if it were country folks property being burned.
Crap like this make me beyond ready to get out of Birmingham.... same scenario different city and likely the same outcome would happen. I just wish every time a black man is killed by a white man it wasn't made about race. Some in the media are claiming it is character defamation to show pictures of the robbery he was leaving when he got shot. I say it's more like character exposure than defamation. Cop very well could be lying about how it went down and ballistics can likely help solve the problem of which party is lying. Hope the truth comes out either way.
I'm sure some of you have seen the video, but the video isn't what's telling. FF to 6:20 and listen, listen to the 2 guys in the background, the one watched everything go down and describes it. He wasn't being recorded directly and not he nor the camera guy realized it. You can't get any more truthful than a casual conversation. That town is more representative of the tribal areas of third world countries, why anyone in America would choose to live like this is beyond me, and choosing to raise children in such a toxic environment makes no sense at all. And that rioting is news is a no brainer, some how I guessing there are not crowds like a high school graduation ceremonies. Civic leaders and elected officials alike should all be a shamed of their community and its news worthiness.
Listening to the video you hear the one lady going off the whole time. Rest of the people orderly and in shock. Only takes a few bad apples to set of a riot. I feel for black law abiding Americans that will get dragged down with this groups actions. Messed up.
