New thread spawning from the Amateur's movie going experience. Great ending. http://newsfeed.time.com/2011/06/07...er-broadcasts-movie-texter’s-angry-voicemail/
Last time I went to the theater (The Green Mile) there was a guy who kept getting called on his cell phone. Annoyed the crap out of me and my wife, but the woman sitting next to him took care of it with a threat of bodily harm if he didn't turn it off or leave the theater.
We don't go to the theaters anymore, not because of stupid people but the prices of the movies are ridiculous and I refuse to pay for it. Most of the time the movies aren't that good.
Kendall and I went to the movies together for the first time every just ten days ago. (was the first time I've been to the theater in 8 years.) Went to see the Avengers. It was big in that place...huge screen, tons of stadium seating.... and only about 30 people in there, and yet I still had someone behind me kicking my seat. On the upside, I saw nor heard nary a cell phone.
It would have been hilarious if you would have just gotten up, moved directly behind that person and started kicking the back of his or her seat for a while. Of course make sure it isn't a child first; I am much more patient with them. My worst pet peave is people munching popcorn or ice from their drink. There is something about the smell of someone's popcorn breath that makes me want to yak. Once I had someone take their shoes off behind me.... oh, you have got to be kidding! That was bad enough that we moved. I am glad I didn't say anything because after the movie, it turned out to be a handicapped/disabled person using a walker.
