Just finished up another couple hours in the woods... nada so far, but I'm heading to another spot here in a bit.

Had a gobbler sound off a few hundred yards away at 12:05, and had him going pretty strong with a few voice yelps. Then the boss hen started chiming in to keep him there, even when I had him double-gobbling back... they finally had enough slunk off the other direction.

Neat encounter in the woods though! :)

You may know this Greg, but if you intend to hunt those birds I wouldn't call to them before season opens.

Cool encounter though. I saw a bird in strut this weekend for the first time out in a field. Can't wait!!

Yep Rick... good advice none the less. I won't be turkey hunting anywhere close to these birds....

Another couple hours and still no more sheds. Great excercise, but wow! You'd think some of the places I crawl through would yield 10 sheds... or at least one! :D

I know some of the places we walk are just pounded by the deer. It should be good for at least one shed and nothing. Then you hit an area with absolutely no sign and pick up a couple.
