I've been sneaking away from building bowstrings a little bit lately to do a little shed hunting. While I haven't found any sheds I did run into a couple dead heads. It stinks since both would have been great buck in a couple years. Here's a pic.
Maybe it's the angle but the skull on the left appears to be pretty good size. Bummer to lose deer like that. Out of curiously, did you find any other bones near the heads? Only asking because when I've found heads before I've never found bones from the body...which I find rather strange. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
It's odd that you mention that, because I found a two deadheads this late-winter season as well, and one was definitely without the rest of the bones. I thought it was highly unusual but I guess maybe it's not.
