For sure! I am still debating about getting Wisconsin tags for some public hunting this season!

Maybe after a few sits filming depending on what we see for action you can decide for that also we should get together and shoot sometime soon.

Congrats. It would be cool to have a tracking dog.

I love Weims! Terrific breed of dog. Mine is getting old and has a lot of problems at this point which sucks but that's life. Just be sure and pay attention to your vet and take him seriously when he says to keep extra weight off of them, you'll get to keep them healthy longer. (which goes for any large dog breed)

We love them! The silver is 7 months old or so and a hip dog, you never find her any farther than your shadow most of the time. The little blue is 3 months old now and is always running around with her nose to the ground. Thinking she is gonna make a good tracker. Both are excellent with our 3 year old son.. great family dogs! We plan to be selling some pups come next year as well.. they are a awesome breed and strikingly beautiful!

I have a male American Water Spaniel.
Every time we shoot a deer - I let him track the deer (never needed to track 1 yet) and praise the heck out of him.
Just building him up to the time if we ever need him. He gets so excited when he thinks he found it for you.
The breed in general (AWS) is an awesome breed - their goal is to lease their owner and that is their only goal in life.

We hunt doves, waterfowl, have hunted pheasant, quail, chucker and we keep saying we need to squirrel hunt with him.
My son was taking him to get a goose about 2 years ago that was running off. The dog started cutting back and forth going across a field and jumped a rabbit. My boy comes back after they got the goose and said freakin Levi jumped a rabbit over there in the field but after he jumped it I called him off to go get the goose. We said you should have shot it - it's rabbit season!
