I've been seeing some does and some bucks mixed. I just moved my tree stand off a fence line that comes off a brushy field and leads into the bottom creek ( basically a funnel) I'm hunting the top of it. I have about 5-6 rubs in front of me, but seen no sign of scrapes on the property, wasnt sure If I should go look , or just let it be?

Make one of your own and see what happens... I just made my first mock scrape today... I'm pretty excited to see what will happen.

I think I'm going to make one this week. Should've done it last weekend, but didn't get the chance. We have a lot of does; should be some bucks somewhere. :)

If you like this hunting spot I would not be concerned about scrapes not being there.

The rubs being present at least indicate bucks have been there.

Anyway....I choose hunting spots based on terrain features rather than sign like scrapes or rubs.

Scrapes and scrape lines are usually not my first choice to be set up on since they mainly hit them at night anyways

I agree with Hoosier Daddy on this. I wouldn't consider setting up on a Scrape until after Halloween. When you do set up, I'd either hunt that stand all day long, or 9 to 2. The buck run all night long and are usually getting rest right at daylight, then they get up around 9 ish.

I killed my buck last fall on October 21 the 1st 5 minutes of legal shooting hours over my mock scrape. Wait until Oct 31 and you missed out. 1st light can be great as they are dragging their feet getting back to bed. I got pics from a buddy this week of a mature buck 3 days in a row in a scrape at 930 AM for what it's worth :D

Notice the time on the picture. His scrape is right behind him. I was in the stand 15 yards away when this picture was taken. I was there for about 10 minutes when I heard him and could make out his outline but not his rack. What I'm going to do is wait for some cloudy or rainy morning, then go get him.
