    Not sure it its just the angle on the pics or not but looks like its not more than a couple ft max off the ground. A bit low for most rubs...

    They are around 3 to 4 feet off the ground.

    I change my opinion. I found the same thing near my stand, and I believe it is buck markings, probably mostly brow tines. Similar to what some have said, a buck doing a quick spar/fight with a tree.
