But we still catch some nice fish all winter. Our latest trip was this weekend on a little stretch of river about a mile long that the bass "yard up" in all winter.

Weather in high 20's, windy and some snowflakes but we were out landing some solid fish. Caught about 45 in 1.5 days and had a blast. Here are some of the highlights.

    Saturday...Nice smallmouth my dad caught.

    Another nice 18" smallie

20" 3lb 10oz. Smallmouth I caught this morning. That is a hawg for this area.

And to top it off ran into Mobow at the Mexican Restaurant Friday night. Had a great weekend.

3" Trick sticks from gander mountain. It's a stick worm. Green pumpkin and copper flake.

Beautiful fish there. They've started stocking trout here, but I haven't got a chance to go out yet.

I've got a canoe/camping trip planned for the spring with a friend from church with our boys... I think we'll head back to where we slaughtered them before. Can't wait.

Congrats on your trip... nothing like spending quality time with your dad!

    Thanks guys!

Rory, we were fishing the Bourbouse River about 10 miles outside Union, MO.

Greg, beautiful fish, I love the coloring.

Mobow, I'll have to get in touch. I'd like to come down and shoot with ya at the shop and maybe put a few arrows through an alphamax.
