Seems that a person that is trying to learn something and get some advice on here is out of luck. I guess everyone expects you to know everything and thinks you are asking dumb questions or something. Well I can take a hint and I know when I'm not Welcome. I'm out of here! Bee- it is a little slow here during the off season especially on the weekends during the summer. Relax.
I have never used a side bar on my bow why not try it in both places and see what works best for you?
LOL at the pouting. Post your question in the proper area and it might get some play. Try the Tech talk or the archery area of this forum rather than a bowhunting area and then settle down. Of course you wont see this because as you said, you have taken your ball and gone home already. Let me look around and see if I can find that big box of attention so I can send you some.
Or maybe we have no idea ourselves and can't be of any help so instead of flooding your thread with "oh thats a good question I was wondering that too" we just let somebody who does know answer
You've got 137 posts, and received 30 likes, so I guess I'm having a hard time seeing how you're hated or not welcome. Go to any forum this time of year and you'll struggle to see posts. It's the off season. But the best thing about a forum is our post stays up, and if someone sees it they can always reply. Personally I haven't even seen your question yet because I don't search all over the website looking for new posts all the time just to chime in. Normally I'm here for a bit to help pass the time while at work, or in between projects until season rolls around. I will say one thing though. You won't win any popularity contests with that attitude. Most of us have a family, and our kids come first over checking in for some Q&A posts. Relax a little and just enjoy the outdoors. If you have a question, ask away and kick back till it gets answered.
I asked what the best tick repellent was and I got no response. did I get upset? NO! I know from being on here that there are a great group of guys here that will help if they can. sometimes your question might be bad timing when things are slow on here. sorry I have know clue what a sidebar is on a bow. I guess I'm not up on the techy stuff.
I'm guessing he's talking about a v-bar or rear/side stabilizer. I've Never used one so can't answer the question. More competition shooting gear. Doesn't seem practical for in a tree in tight quarters. Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
If you're looking for some good tick repellent I might be able to help you out. I found a thread on the Rockslide forum that suggested it. I purchased some Permethrin 10% mix off Amazon. The brand is Martin's. Mix 1 oz of it in a spray bottle (I used a 16 oz bottle). Make sure to wear gloves when mixing and keep away from any pets. I then doused my backpack, pants, and sweatshirt in it and let it air dry. Did 5 days of camping up in the Boundary Waters and didn't have any ticks on me at all. Usually I'll find a dozen or so. Once this stuff dries it's safe to wear your clothes. I got a quart of it for like $20. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk
Go to the local hardware store or walmart and buy a can of spray that has permethrin in in, permethrin is the magic ingredient, no mixing no ppe to wear to mix just spray your stuff about $5.00 for a can.
thanks guys. people around here are still getting ticks on them. I am in the woods often and still haven't found one on me yet. I must really stink? and that's with no spray!
Your just asking the wrong questions Bee, if you want a response just ask our opinion on something controversial like "why are Mathews innately superior to every other bow?" Or "will I still be a real bowhunter if I use a crossbow?" That will get the Forum cooking pretty quick!
