Weird summer for me as I haven't got nearly the amount of fawns on camera as usual. EHD hit hard in the northern part of my county and state last year, but I didn't see any sign in my areas. In previous years, I'd have 3-4 does bring fawns with them into the corn pile but as far as I can tell, I only have 1 doe bringing 1 fawn. I have hunted this farm for a few years now and didn't even shoot a doe out there last year and there's no lack on them on camera, but can you think of why I'm not seeing as many fawns?
I know I've seen an increased problem with yotes in and around central NC (i.e. across most of Uwharrie, along Yadkin and the Pee Dee basins)...so if I had to bet...
