We have traicameres out and it seems like we only have 3 does around but around 10 to 12 bucks no one has hunted this 90 acres in about 2 years. It just boggles my mind because yesterday my dad shot a 7 pointer uncle missed an 8 and I had a missed opprtunity on a huge 10 but no does but those 3. Does any one have any idea why this might be the corn is still up maby in there but I. Am not complanying that's for sure
This is the story of my property as well. For the last three years, ive been lucky to see a few does all season, but quite a few bucks. I have to come to find that the neighbor tells me opposite that he sees all does and no bucks, so I think they are staying seperated for some reason. Its not really a bad thing, but Ive been looking into this situation for a couple years.
The problem with that is when the does go into heat they will pull the bucks away. Our farm is just the opposite. We have 10 does to every 1 buck and when rut comes around bucks appear out of nowhere.
