Well my lease doesnt hold deer through the winter months due to lack of thick cover, so I havent been out there in a few months. So finally went out there the other night to see if we could call in some yotes and pulled a camera thats been sitting there since November. Kinda cool to watch the snow level go up and down and the fox is a regular.

A mineral site and watering hole will bring those deer in. Save an arrow or bullet for that yote.

I would say 15yards maybe a touch more
Monday night was the second attempt. Thinking of setting traps maybe havent decided yet.
Well there is a mineral site right in front of the camera under all the snow lol. Last spring we put a cover plot right there and it worked really well, then about a 75-80 yards in front of that camera is a creek that goes through the whole property. That wood lot is the thickets wood lot on the whole place then the other wood lots are just mature timber. I have never delt withsomething like it before but theres always water on the property with the creek and we have even done late season plots but the deer always leave around the end of November then come back in the spring. The only thing I can think of is lack of thick cover. each year I have had 3-4 good bucks but its just a bummer they dont hang out there through the winter months to.

Cool pictures. I'd definitely go out there and try to take that yote. I can't stand yotes.
