I had a friend draw a tag this year but he doesn't bow hunt. He shot it with his rifle.

That's seems so weird having to draw a bear tag, to me anyways. Here in Ontario it's an over the counter tag for res and non-res. Mind you we only have a fall hunt up here, since they cut the spring one out years back. Not a bad non res price either for a tag $230

I'm going after a bear this year. The past few seasons I've had them come to my camera but haven't had an opportunity to shoot one yet. Here in West Virginia they're everywhere; they're not very large, but extremely common. I think I'm more worried about killing a bear this season than anything else.

I was working on a few poles about 10-12 miles from where I usually hunt at a couple of weeks go and one of my co-workers on the ground yelled at me and told me to look and about 30 yards from the pole I was on there was a bear. I was pretty hesitate about coming down anytime soon.

Wow! That's a good price. My tag for Minnesota this year is $231. I always thought it would be more expensive in Canada

Nice bear! Ive hunted bear in Ontario the last three years. If you go to an outfitter, definately do your homework. Ive only been to one outfitter in Longlac area, but definately an awesome place run by very accomodating people. Ive not wanted to try any other place. Check em out on Facebook or on the web...Lukinto Lake Lodge. Good luck!

I really want to get a bear. My dad and brother killed some in Idaho last spring. They got 2 black ones and a cinnamon. I hope that I have the opportunity to go someday.

Yea it's decent, I think British Columbia non res tag is cheaper, and they've got alot of big ones out there. But u need a resident hunter to accompany you, or an outfitter. im pretty sure you don't need one here in Ontario. Are you going through an outfitter in min?
