I found this guy while out shed hunting 1/28. I found his spine about 60 yards away earlier so it got me looking for a head then I seen this guy. It's a shame when they die this way.

That is the reason you mother would yell at you when you were a kid and put your head between spindles.....Now they have codes for maximum spacing....Dont show the government that picture or the next the you know they will have code enforcement officers for the freaking forest...

What an awesome find! What is going on with the front of his right main beam? Is that a hole?

Sad to see him go out like that, but hey, you got a nice prize to show everyone now and that buck will be remembered for a long time now.

    What a bruiser he is!!!

Wow:-( what a great looking Buck. Very sad.

I can't seem to figure out how it got stuck though. Seems like his neck and front legs should of been able to pull away. Guess not.
I guess he came in and down from a higher angle but then tried to pull himself out low.

It is a hole probably from a stick or a tic when he was in velvet.

I think he would have had to pivot his body to his right and then pull back to get out! That is kinda how I removed him from the bush. I think where he is stuck low in the pic was where he dropped when he died.
