I grunted this 6-pt in at 12:15 today. An inch and a half lower, and the shot would have been a clean miss. So make sure you double check your shooting lane distances! I misjudged a 27 yd shot as 20 yds, and my arrow passed thru both sides of rib cage just above sternum. Nicked the lungs and had a great blood trail but he just kept going! I could tell the shot was too low but when I checked out the arrow, it looked good I saw the blood trail looked good so I gave him an hour. I don't think he ever bedded, but stood still a few times I think. Ended up going 200 or 300 yds. Tuesday I was full draw on a nice 8-pt at 25 yds, but facing me and staring me down. I held draw for about 13 minutes (was actually about 40 seconds) trying to justify a straight-on shot, and then he turned the wrong way with a branch in the way and out of my life. I was frustrated after that but stuck with it. Glad I did! Good luck all!
