Yeah, I don't have the score sheet with me, but even if you deduct a few inches for mass (which would be the MAX added by velvet)....It really wouldn't amount to much. My deer had around 8" G2 and G3s on both sides, and his deer is noticeably longer. Several inches longer on all 4 tines by the looks of it. Mine had 21 inch main beams and again, his has a very similar spread with beams that wrap around much further. I just think the buck has 15-20" more in length over my buck, subtract the 2" G4 and mass and you still come out with atleast a 10" bigger buck, making him mid 140s.

But again, that's all by my very rough guesstimates. Could be off, usually am. But I just feel that buck is a step bigger than mine, which was green scored at 135 and some change.

Great answer. I have NO IDEA how much velvet adds. That's why I asked.

    COngrats, again.

I don't know for certain either, but based off the strips of hanging velvet, it couldn't have been more than 1/16" thick. That would only add 3-4" total for a rack.

I vote the OP kills this big dude and lets the tape do the measuring rather than us guessing online. lol Go get him!

    Stud of a deer regardless.

Here is a bowkill from 2 years ago that grossed a hair over 135". The buck in your trailcam photo is considerably bigger. He will make 140's. Good luck.

Thanks for all the input. The more i look at this deer the bigger it gets to me.
I think the main beams are closer to 24 inches and the G2's gotta be at least 12.
Could be wrong though. I know its at least 4 1/2 but the more I look at it the body looks younger.

I came up with 152 and a half. The taxedermist came up with a little more.

I think i'm close though. Maybe he was looking for a big tip

That's a brute of a deer. 150" is a tough mark to reach.

wow, I never would have thought it. Its hard to break 150 without nice G-4's but man he is wide and looks to have long beams. Nice indeed!

I don't think it's the SAME buck.....Different curls on the G3's. You've got TWO great bucks in that area, not just one.....

That would be cool, I would like to see them to see if I was close on the main beams and G-3, G4 measurements.
