Nashville is playing way better. I think they need move a few guys out, either trade for picks and bring guys from the powerhouse AHL Milwaukee Admirals. Big win against Edmonton last night, great game, Oilers have owned NSH all year. Good game all around from both sides, Nashville just got them on a good bounce in OT. 2 of the guys I'd like to see out have stupid contracts (Skjei & Marchessault), so they may stuck here unless NSH retains a bunch of the contract. Playing @Colorado Friday, 1-2 against CO this season, no reason they can't compete for a win Friday. This season has been fun, fast paced due to the Olympics, but there have been some really good games this season.
Rangers are dog crap. Defense sucks, offense sucks. Don’t know why I waste my time to watch them. Down 2 goals within the first 4 minutes and 2 penalties.
I am somewhat following the Wild, they are playing well. Please can they make it out of the first round
Tampa Bay did an awesome job with their stadium series. The design around the ice was awesome, the entire thing was great. Bruins up 5-1 in the 1st, then TBL climbs back; we even got a goalie fight. Overall, fun game to watch. If you missed it, TB won 5-6 in a shootout.
Barry Trotz steeping down as GM from Nashville Predators. I'm not upset about it, he's a good dude, but took on way too many expensive contracts they are stuck with. On top of that, sent too many good young players out the door. Press conference about it in 30min. Hopefully, we get a good reason why he's out the door, Trotz will tell it as it is, he's very straight to the point.
Matt Boldy with a first period hat trick and the game winning assist in OT for the Wild last night. I think the Wild are going to be a fun team to watch in the playoffs.
Fun game, two big missed calls in OT that should have been on the Wild; interference on Stamkos when he took possession of in the zone & obvious cross check on Evangelista right after; the interference I can let go in OT, but an obvious cross check on 77 should have been called. Whatever, the Predators keep giving up goals to the opposition to start games has been their crux this season, yet they've found ways to pull a point or win in many of them. Awesome game though, kind of started to feel like an early playoff game. I want to watch a good team, but I think the Predators need to rip the band-aid off and rebuild. As for the Wild, John Hynes was the Predators coach prior to the Wild, he's good, but he does not have a good playoff record, so be ready for a ride of emotions in the playoffs. They've almost caught Colorado, which no one thought was gonna happen.
Minnesota fans know how to ride the rollercoaster in the playoffs (for all sports). We go up the hill and down the hill screaming right into the trash can. We know how it works.
The roller coaster going up is getting into the playoffs and round one exit is down the hill and right into the trash can.
Finally a good scrum. Tampa and Florida getting after each other. Wish the Rangers would have a little fight in them.
Unfortunate the Olympics use IIHF rules in which fighting is 5 min major & game misconduct and ejection depending on the zebras; we may not get the excitement we had from the US v CAN 4 nations face off.
