all i keep hearing from a couple friends is how the wings got in coach q's head and the hawks literally imploded in epic proportions... i heard the put in their 3rd string goalie that had never seen a playoff game ever... why didn't they start 'bulin?? WTF? he's the reason they are there to begin with...

I just wished the hawks could have stretched it to seven games and give the Pens some more rest. I hate the Wings! Go Pens!

Here we go boys, let it begin! Should be a good series! Now with our captain and the best defenseman in the league, Lidstrom is back in for game 1. Ericsson is back in after surgery and Pavs a game time decision were only getting stronger. I'm looking forward to our defense shutting down the Pens.

Hossa is going to be a beast in the series, GO WINGS!

I think its going to be a pretty good series. The Pens won't be so awestruck the 1st 2 games like last season. We've been geared up playing 2 teams that really skate, so seeing Detroit's style will be nothing new.

This series will come down to the small bounces and breaks and which goalie makes hte big save at the right time.

Pretty much what I figured Joe, too much veteran leadership In Detroit. Hockey unlike other sports Is a sport where the old timers with veteran leadership and such can have the advantage over the younger legs, just ask the Hawks. Actually the Penguins are doing better then I thought they would, their actually out shooting Detroit so far. I think the Penguins will win a game, maybe even 2 but no more then that. I think the Wings beat the 2nd best team already In the NHL, the Ducks were hot when they played each other and Detroit just barely made It out of that round. Since then there hasn't been near the challenge I think.

Good luck Penguins and Wing fans!!

It will be tough for the pens now. How young of a team are the pens? Do they have most of their team coming back next year?

I've got plenty of commentary on the games so far, none of it good, so I will spare y'all.

I know the history & statistics back the wings, but they better not take this team lightly. The Pens have already overcome some bleak situations this season, they aren't out of it until the handshake.
