Honestly fellas, without Varlomov playing over and above that which most mere mortal goalies have ever played....ALL 4 games would have went that way & this series would have been a dud.

Last night reality kicked in and the Pens smoked em. Are both games tonight on TV? Would be a shame to have to choose one over the other.

    uh, ya....

ducks play more of a straight up style of hockey similar to vancouver, plays more to our speed, wings play more similar to us but are better at it... granted, hawks have been playing some stellar stick lately and have a great deal on confidence goin into the Conf Finals... if we end up with the wings I think we probably lose, but I think we take you guys all the way to 7 games...

I admit it. I'd like to see the Hawks play the Wings, but I think that we'd have an easier (slightly) time with the Ducks. Besides It'd be more satisfying to open up a can of whup-ass on the Wings (OLD MEN)

This is going to be good! Wings and the Hawks. I'm feeling a Cup repeat from the Wings now that we made it past the Ducks! The OLD MEN are going to show those youngins what playoff hockey is about!

Its weird, where did all you Hawks fans come from... ... where were all you Hawks fans last year when they were giving tickets away to get people in the UC, 1 free ticket and a free beer to boot! ... well how bout' the last 15 years???

My Hawk heritage goes back to my grandmother BHF. She had this signed after the Hawks won the cup. Guess who they beat? And yes we are way overdue! Things have been stagnant before the old man passed away. Now were starting to move in the right direction again.

    Last night was so great.

I could watch good hockey, great action and tight games with out the stress of caring who one.

It was tough staying awake for the Canes win, but I managed.

Great series for the B's, with a not so desirable for the team, but good none the less..

we were watching the AHL Champion Wolves last year... only place you can find winning hockey in chicago for the past 10yrs... and we've been patiently waiting for old man wirtz to go away... finally got that wish and now we're starting to win again... we just had to go elsewhere for our local hockey fix...

Good stuff Jeff, sounds like a great time! I was fortunate to grow up in Detroit and we were a big hockey family. My 2 older brothers and I played for many, many years! My mom always used to say, at one point in my life I could skate better than I could walk!

Jeff, I remember John Marks. I think he put up some pretty good point numbers for a defenseman. He was a pretty big dude for those days. sounds like you had a great time hanging with them guys. The sport of hockey has some of the best people out of any sport IMO....at least from my experiences with them. I've skated and hung out with quite a few of them (NHLers) in local rinks in my area during the summer ....great guys! PS they humble you quick!
Joe, I'm still going at it at 51yrs. young....GO HAWKS!!!!!

I hear ya, I was not happy at times with the Wings, kinda sloppy play turning the puck over way to much. Ozzie stone walls em' and the "old men" get the W.... Game 2 we will better! GO WINGS!

hawks looked strong thru the first 2 periods... a couple key mistakes and voila, loss.... personally i thought both teams looked pretty flat actually... hawks were on their heels quite a bit and made a ton of 'rookie' mistakes between the blue lines... bad passing, turnovers, missing on opportunities...

They'd better make the right adjustments before Tues. I feel they have to at least get one from the Wings on the road!
