Still a winner everywhere he goes. 30-17 as a NFL starter. The Eagles are the biggest suprise to me right now. 6 Pro Bowlers added in the offseason...exciting franchise QB, coming off a playoff season, now stuck at 1-2 and digging themselves out of an early hole. Last night the Cowboys looked ugly but the Redskins were uglier. Both teams are pretenders that nobody has to worry about.
I'm not going to say it wasn't ugly. By pretender do you mean "Has the best looking schedule in a very competitive division?" The Cowboys played a CFL team last night and got through it. That's all that really matters. These last two weeks have done countless good things for the team. Somebody has to win the division.
I think we would be fully capable of beating the eagles or the cowboys in the playoffs. I can't really see the cowboys making it, they might have a fair chance at wild card but I'm thinking atlanta & detroit will land wild card in the nfc
lol.... Detroit gets off to a good start and suddenly they are a playoff team! Arent' we a couple years removed from them not winning a single game? I'm not saying the Cowboys will be hoisting the lombardi trophy by any means. BUT... I'm telling you that defense is good and potential to be really good. I think Ryan is only going to make them better. Defense wins championships. Again... if it's not all on Romos back and the they can withstand Romos bonehead mistakes by making up for it on the other side of the ball, they have a chance.
Don't hate because the Cowboys are notorious underachievers. Everyone expects Detroit to suck, so we have no expectations. I'm not ready to put them in the playoffs yet, but this is a drastically different team than the one that didn't win a game. Anyone can see that. This is a team with the longest current regular season win streak at 7. So I think its safe to say they are turning the corner. Injuries have plagued them the last two seasons. They weren't deep enough to survive those injuries. This year they might be, except for at QB, where most NFL teams couldn't survive the loss of their starter. How are the Colts doing?
Detroit has a lot of Marquee (sp?) players in core positions ... I don't think it odd at all that they would make the playoffs this year .... Now Buffalo has a bunch of no-names .... guys that were not even drafted .. a 7th round quarterback .... to me they are the bigger surprise .... we shall see if it is all temporary ... I am picking them to go 10-6
The Lions...being an NFC North guy, ive watched them closely for the last couple years. Stafford, Best, Johnson, Suh.... This team is going to be around for awhile.
Now the Bills... I know NOTHING about them. Cept that they have a decent young QB and some speedy quick athletic receivers and that they pulled off a HUGE win over the New England Brady's.
Exactly ..... People will start knowing about them if they keep winning .. Cincinnati and Philly are the next 2 teams ... totally beatable ... they may go 12-4 if they are real ...
I think the lions are going to prove to be a very tough team to beat throughout the year, as long as the continue to be able to score points. There defense was good last year, but the offense could not put points on the board, that makes it difficult to win. I think it will be quite a battle for the NFC north this year between those two, but my prediction is that the Packers can top them, but they may be able to snatch a wildcard spot. obviously all speculation, Stafford could go down for the year next week and their season would be pretty much over. Still very early
