You can't deny the tape, b/c that is all scouts have to go off of. If his throwing motion is "jibberish" then why is he changing his throwing mechanics? He played on a great team with great talent around him. Nobody can argue anything about his attitude, work ethic, and overall personality but his run first mentality and jump passes to the TE isn't going to cut it in the NFL. The best thing McDaniels can do is sit his butt on that bench for as long as possible. With that terrible offensive line, with only one starter on the line back from last year, Clady out, and Moreno hurt now...those QB's are already in trouble.
These are the same scouts who thought the QB from LSU was worthy of the number one all pick becasue of the "Tape" a few years ago He improved his throwing motion, IMO he would have been fine with it, so does a QB named Steve Young. Now I am not going to bet you anything, but Tebow will start this year, take that to the bank
Yes I sure they were the ones who made him over weight Brain Bosworth another Scout great "tape" guy, how about Ryan Leaf? He was great on "tape" also. Doug Flutie was viewed as not a great "tape" guy also, I would take Flutie as my QB anyday of the week.
Tim Tebow Height=6' 3" Weight=236 40=4.72 Standing Broad Jump=9'07" Vertical Jump=38.5 WOW! If he does not make it at QB, put him at H-back or TE. And there is A LOT more than just film that is used to make predictions on a players future. Film study is just part of the entire scouting process.
Another Tebow supporter here. I could be wrong but If I'm not mistaken Steve Young and "Chucky" both said this kid will do well.
Many discounted Brett Favre, hell the guy threw five passes for Atlanta with two being interceptions until he was brought to Green Bay. He has since made a hell of a career considering only one college offered him a scholarship and many said he didn't measure up. Using a tape to determine a career is the wrong way to go in some cases, Tebow has talent and if he believes in himself he will do just fine
