    Jerry Jones?

Yeah....he's made some solid decisions. I suppose we should all be comfortable with him being the sole arbiter of Tebow's future.

Agreed, the only problem is the money is not guaranteed in the NFL for the most part. Blow out a knee today, never play again tomorrow. NFL= Not For Long.

There is just dang much money to the rooks, ask Oakland how that Jamarcxus Russel thing worked, better yet ask their fan base how it feels to still be paying for him. That is my issue, the money is getting so outrageous. At the current rate the 1st pick in the 2013 draft will get a 100 million dollar deal. When they flopped before, there was some money out there, but imagine if bradford does not pan out, 50 million for nothing, except 1 dollar onto each hotdog, coke etc...I watched my Falcons get burned by Vicks punk ass, and I also watched season tickets go away because of the price of a 100 million dollar deal from a below average frachise...sorry for the rant, back to our scheduled heck yeah football is here thread. Oh Yeah...ROLL TIDE

Yeah ask him how that Jimmy Johnson deal worked out, you know when he ran him out of town...Barry Switzer won 1 more with Jimmy's squad and now nothing for quite awhile.

wouldn't bet against Tim, as mentioned previously, he has succeeded at all that he has done

I will be very happy to see him prove you wrong, just wish he was on the Jags, Bucs or Dolphins when he did it.

Far from the sole arbiter. I will be extremely surprised if Tebow starts a game in the NFL.

    the "Splendid Sprinter"

I believe his name is Teddy Williams. He is 6'3" and 198lbs. He can do 40 meter dash in 4.3 seconds!!! They are looking at him playing CB first and then possibly WR. He is there 2 year project they say since he has no real experience since high school. The " Splendid Sprinter" is there nickname for him.

Jeff and I agree 100% in this one. Tebow does not know how to fail, and I am pretty sure he starts for Denver before the end of the season, if not opening day.

Here is a good christian kid, who follows the rules, spends his off time doing mission work and helping others. I cannot understand why so many put him down.

I don't put him down as a person. I know he is a great person and "athlete" but the tape doesn't lie. If Tebow starts for the Donkeys on opening day that team is in terrible shape. Time will tell but again I don't think he'll ever start a game in the NFL at the QB position.

much more excited about the college season this year than pro... so far it has been a pretty decent sports year for me, Tide #1, Hawks win the cup, all I need is the White Sox to win the world series again (would be even sweeter if they beat the cubs doing it!!) and Packers to beat the bears twice in the regular season...

If you truly thought you'd be taking my money.....you'd take the bet.

    'Bout what I figured.

His two national championships? His Heismen? His throwing motion, which is complete jibberish.

Marino had the best throwing motion in the game, how many super bowl rings does he have?

    On tape means diddle,
    1. Chad Pennington, Marshall - Drafted by the New York Jets in Round 1, Pick 18.
    2. Giovanni Carmazzi, Hofstra - Drafted by the San Francisco 49ers in Round 3, Pick 65.
    3. Chris Redman, Louisville - Drafted by the Baltimore Ravens in Round 3, Pick 75.
    4. Tee Martin, Tennessee - Drafted by the Pittsburgh Steelers in Round 5, Pick 163.
    5. Marc Bulger, West Virginia - Drafted by the New Orleans Saints in Round 6, Pick 168.
    6. Spergon Wynn, SW Texas State - Drafted by the Cleveland Browns in Round 6, Pick 183.
QB's who were better on tape than Tom Brady:)

Kyle Orton is the current starter. Even John Madden has a shot at getting the starting nod. ;)

Regardless of how well he progresses, McDaniels put a lot of stock in him. He's backed him the whole way. If the Broncos and Orton start to falter, I think Tebow gets to start at least a game or two. McDaniels is a stubborn dude. I think he will start Tebow no matter what at some point.

I could have said "Put your money where your mouth is". But, what I said sounded "nicer".

Anywhoooooo.....I was gonna bet you..... the Chiefs go winless, and Eric Berry and Dexter McCluster get caught swapping slobber in the clubhouse, this fall. But, since you don't bet........

I am rooting for Tebow. Even if he does not start a single game in the NFL, he has already succeeded in life by age 23. That is more than most people can say. I was not a big Tebow fan when he played in college, but I AM rooting for him now. We have a bunch of dang idiots that are rooting against him. Who are we supposed to root for come game day, the likes of Terrell Owens and such?
