But Tony said the vaccine would protect and preserve. Aaron only needs a center 1 running back 2 lineman and a receiver to win. ( I kid)
Monday night football shut down how is this possible? Not even the Lions have missed a MNF appearance.
Which 3 weeks? Be curious to watch a breakdown of each play to see what was the reason for the int...not to mention how it resulted in a pick 6. Also be curious how different things would have been for each QB had their roles reversed...i.e. Aaron in Detroit, Matt in GB. Its hard to compare apples to oranges. The fact of the matter is, Matt has put together a helluva career in what most consider a joke of team in the NFL. For any QB to do that, I feel like they deserve the attention of discussion as a HOF QB. Ironically, he is having the best year of his career, and it has the supporting cast...mind you its still a new system. So how much different will his statistics look in 3 years?
Unfortunately Matt has chronic issues that will hamper him as each and every season progresses. Breaking your back twice will do that. The 3 weeks Matt thru pick 6's was against the Titans, 49ers, and the Packers. Unfortunately for QB's and stats all interception go on the QB the NFL does not differentiate if the int was because of a tipped ball, bad route, or a receiver falling down.
The breaking his back twice part only adds to the argument of how good he is. Being able to do what he has done with that on his resume... I get the NFL does not care how the int. happened, was just rebutting the statement made that he isn't good all the time and those 3 particular int's. were the evidence for that statement. No QB is good all the time. Even Brady, Peyton, Favre, Staubach, Marino had some atrocious games. All of which are HOF QB's. 1 of which also never won a SB.
Really though what has he done as a QB 1 playoff appearance in his career, granted he played for a crap team but how many contract extensions did he sign with Detroit? Quirk Cousins is a better QB, that also can not get it done.
He got that crap team to the playoffs...its funny his first year out of detroit they are 1-11-1. Marino couldn't "get it done" either. Heck, even Elway almost didn't get it done. Kirk Cousins is a decent QB, who also did not play for "great and almighty" Lions.
Matt could have got out of Detroit in 2015, can't just blame the Lions for the way his career turned out.
Perhaps...but he could have also been hopeful they would turn the ship around and wanted to stay faithful to the organization who brought him in.
Detroit is a lot like the Browns of old(not saying they are changed). Both teams have had a lot of top draft picks over the years and neither one of them could do crap with them. Lions haven't been good since Barry Sanders, and even then they were just "good enough" to win some games.
Sanders is a perfect analogy...HOF RB who never won a SB, and he played for Detroit. And yes, it has a lot to do with the organization.
It would like be staying in a bad marriage after 6 years because your wife was going to change. He stayed for the money, I don't fault him for that but he chose to stay.
I saw a story that was briefly reported on the Minneapolis ABC early news last night, it dissolved after that.
Gotcha, read it earlier and been bugging me since I couldn't find anything on it Something impactful is going to happen with Covid as we near or get into the playoffs. You can just feel it coming.
Watch where LA will be in 3 years and who their HC is. McVay took a big gamble that doesn't look like it's going to pay off. No way they can keep all them players paid and happy.
Have they changed any rules where last minute roster changes can be made due to a late positive test? All I have heard on it is forfeiture of game if it impacts that greatly. Wonder what it would actually take for that to happen.
