Saw a story in the paper about vikings training camp, they have fans at practice for now. There are rubes that put on their viking costume and face paint to go watch a practice, they were doing that skol chant. It made me laugh as I shook my head.
Rather funny this past week on Minnesota sports talk radio there was days of Aaron discussion, keep in mind this is during the first week of their own viking's training camp. Last week in Green Bay training camp coverage the vikings were never mentioned. Little brother syndrome. Raising a child to be a viking fan is crewl they get nothing but disappointment for a life time.
Who would watch the Super Bowl if it was pay per view? I believe viewing would be less than half of what it is now.
I would, I just wouldn't pay for it. I don't think it would ever really work. Maybe a paid option with alternative half time show or completely add free, but then all you're getting is endless commentary at all the breaks. And holy hell I could not handle that with Buck or Collinsworth
Anyone heard how teams are utilizing the preseason games? Are they planning on playing starters like they did in week 3 when it was 4 games? Steelers and the Cowboys both have 4 preseason games so can still utilize the old format. Have not heard any plans by Tomlin or Colbert on the Steelers plans though.
I heard that Aaron will not play preseason Jorden gets to start every game gives him first team (limited) reps in game and practice. I have heard things like Aaron there will be a low win first season but there is upside. Aaron held the ball too long in his first season and was injury prone in Brett relief. I was at the game he broke his foot against the Jets, was a damn cold game.
You mean like major college bowl games? They are sort of "pay for view" as you have to have cable or satellite to watch.... I'm thinking you might right on viewership.
My college buddy coaches young kids in Florida. He said one of his players was gonna miss this entire week of practice. He considered kicking him off the team. Kid will be in Canton Ohio with his dad...Charles Woodson.
I took my son to Lambeau when the Packers won the super bowl. He was also in basketball at the time the JV coach was going to bench him for missing practice to see the stupid Packers. Took a few phone calls and the coach saw the error of his ways.
Had a little league coach like that, miss practice, no play in game, NO excuses. No going to the beach on game day and a crap ton of other rules. We were going camping and I was going to miss 3 practices therefore 3 games. Dad tried to talk to the coach-no dice. Dad told the coach if he wanted my uniform back he could come get it. I still remember him cussing out the coach and my dad didn't swear when us kids were around-EVER!
Yes. Develop the kids. Most important thing is to develop toughness and technique. Not win every game by 50 pts.
6 hours 37 minutes. Pretty bad when you are excited to watch a bunch if players you never knew were on the team play.
