I will wait for analysis fr0m people who have worn shoulder pads and played the game, vs fantasy football playing soccer refs. If you have not played or coached you do not truly understand what goes into it.
Before you dismiss my theory, if you haven't hit or been hit or ran a route or diagrammed a play you do not understand the game at the basic level. You can run fast and jump high until you have done it in pads you have zero idea.
It would be like watching a fishing show and thinking you could win a fishing tournament. Or winning a fantasy football league and thinking you could be a NFL GM.
Then you put him back on the bench when JJ is healthy. First and foremost, JJ is your QB of the future, if you mean it ypu don't mess with his confidence after 2 games, winning one in an impressive fashion. Secondly, Wentz has had his chances at starter and could never take the reigns. Like Rudolph in Pittsburgh, he is a career back up for instances like this. They let Cousins walk for JJ. Would they have given up on Cousins for Wentz? Doubtful IMO, same goes for Darnold, they let him leave in plans for JJ. If they bench JJ for Wentz, JJ should demand a trade and I would support that decision. It's never going to happen regardless, just a what if scenario that will not happen. Wentz goes 1-2 in the next 3, beating the Bengals at home.
Manning learned real fast his first year that he didn’t have an O-line. He got pounded. You don’t have a good completion record laying on your back.
Listen I get about being a rookie and stepping in it takes time and requires blocking, the kid has played 7 quarters of dreadful and had 1 good quarter. I should not get hung up on it but he has had some terrible misses on passes like he forgot how to throw the ball. How does he not put some air under passes on go routes, has been doing it his whole life as a QB. He reminds me of Christian Ponder, has everything on paper the resume etc but can't execute.
See they are going to tighten the reigns on it after at least one false start was not called. I have no feelings on it one way or the other as far as the play goes, but when a play cannot be challenged due to lack of a clear view it becomes an advantage, especially when it yields a 96.6% success rate or whatever it is. To add to it, I am not just talking about the "tush push", I've never liked it when a running back is pushed and even carried by teammates in a crowd while his feet are off the ground. I have always thought that if a players feet come off the ground and he is advanced by other players for a gain, he should be ruled down when his feet leave the ground due to forward progress being stopped. Not talking when a player hurdles, leaps, dives or while being tackled and his body never touches the ground. Only when he is being physically moved forward with assistance from teammates while not under his own power
The basic rule of aiding the runner, I hate to sound like an old guy but the tush push puts points on the board for fantasy football results.
Eagle's first half looked like crap, but what a second half! Not a pretty win, but a win none the less. That was a great team we beat today. Undefeated baby!! GO BIRDS!!!
Packers head of football operations is going to seek to ban the Eagles defensive line formation on Special Teams in the upcoming offseason.
So now.... Steelers still suck, Bears look great after a head coaches former team humiliate them, Vikings have a standout DB, Eagles aren't that good but still eke out wins, Packers might not be that good afterall, I mean the Browns???? and Cowboys continue to be the Cowboy's. Arch Manning trying to be that guy they were talking about before the season. Should it continue he should cash out, while the cashing out is good, in the '26 draft.
