No defensive schemes anymore, just seems like a free for all every snap. So many plays it seemed like they were blocking each other. So many missed tackles behind the line of scrimmage as well. On offense Broderick Jones has no excuses any longer. He's now at his natural position at left tackle, needs to step it up big time. Jalen Ramsey today more than made up for the Minkah trade. All in all, it was a solid team effort win, but the lack of preseason play time really showed up with rusty plays, both sides of the ball.
I usually stay away from this thread but I stumbled across a joke on the internet. I'm sure it's old, but I want to see who can answer it. What does the movie Brokeback Mountain and the NFL have in common?
That was one of the best NFL games of the season and it's only week 1. Josh Allen is an absolute stud. And I feel bad for Henry. He pounded the rock all game and one mistake cost his team the W. Thankfully he's still a stud and has plenty of time to help make up for it. Tonight, the Bears begin their march toward the NFC Championship.
Speaking of Brokeback Mountain and the NFL..... I will stop watching if they ever pair up Joe Buck and Chris Collinsworth. Having to tolerate them on back to back nights is torture enough
I said it two years ago, and I'll keep saying it now - JJ McCarthy is going to be a better QB than Caleb Williams. I don't care about metrics on a piece of paper or highlights from college. I care about passing the eye test and winning football games. McCarthy is a baller who wins games, period. He's got whatever "it" is. Caleb does not. McCarthy has done nothing but win games his entire football career at every level of the game. Two or three more games like this and the Chicago fans will be rioting in the streets to start Bagent. He's our Brock Purdy. PS - Bear Down! We're still winning the NFC this year.
