I'd take that bet, not that you are gambling. Idon't see GB making the SB 2 years in a row. I see it being PHI/WAS vs DET in the NFC Championship game this year. '27 yet to be determined, these crazy contracts are going to change team make ups without substantial cap changes. Have a feeling the RB market will be reset this year.
I am kidding about SB but honestly the Packers have not had a high 1st pick in years so giving up 2 firsts is not that big of deal.
It all depends on the acquirement. If Parsons can add the same value he had at Dallas it really helps. But if his lack of training/preseason conditioning ends gimnup injured those 2 firsts become more valuable. Even late round firsts are better than starting out picking number 59+.
I agree but the Packers seem to have changed, picking a receiver in the first round and now this big move seems like they are gearing up for a run that will go beyond a first round playoff game. The defense was pretty good last year bolster that and see what happens. I do think they have to be cautious with implementing Micah, guy hasn't trained.
That is the type of player you get the the honer to pay that money. Legit 1st ballot hof trajectory. Losing Clark hurts worse for me personally. Exciting time to be a packer fan. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
If it hadn’t been at the worst possible time to try to trade for a player like this the price would have been higher. They got a deal. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Yeah yeah... This trade doesn't affect me at all as a Bears fan. (Our tackle situation is up in the air right now and I'm slightly scared)
Giving Parsons #1 that is all the way wrong nobody other than the original has any business wearing #1 on their jersey.
I imagine they have been planning to do it far a bit just waiting for the right splash. If they weren’t going to do it they should have actually retired it 90 years ago there are only so many numbers. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I didn’t know he changed his number multiple times too. I imagine they decided naming the stadium after him and never accepting the hundreds of millions of dollars sponsorship would offer for naming rights was enough. The sentiment around the packers news people I follow is he wasn’t so much in the hall of fame for his time as a player as everything else he did. I can understand why someone who had followed the team a few more decades then me would feel the way you do but for me I feel like it’s a cool thing to do at a cool time in packers history. Here is hoping he earns it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Are you ready for some football?!!! Thursday night is the Eagles season opener against the Cowboys, a classic rivalry!
Packer are smart they didn't sell naming rights to the stadium they sold the names of the entry gates, more than 1 gate more $ to make. I think the Packers are doing all right the hotel and area around the stadium is amazing.
I am not sure I will watch, I can not watch an NFL game without wanting one team to lose. that game I would want to watch both teams lose.
