In my short 21 years of life, I've never seen a better Bears team (on paper....) we'll see how the season goes
I told my son today I am not going to Lambeau this season I still love my Packers but only from my couch. For what I spend on a weekend in Green Bay I can buy Sunday ticket sit on the couch with the fireplace on and nap.
Yeah I would like to think we'll make it, but I'm being optimistic.... Just need some forward progress!
I'm heading up to Lambeau this weekend for my first time, my buddy who is a big packers fan invited me to some event on Saturday, excited to see the place!
I am sure your friend knows where to go but Stadium View Bar is my favorite, get their deluxe chili with sour cream no beans so good. I am kinda old school game experience I remember when stadium view was a little tired, now completely rebuilt. The Packer village area around the stadium is amazing but not for me, little too fancy for my taste.(I hate craft beer and $17 cocktails that are not doubles)
Surprised this thread isn't a little more active with week 1 preseason 72 1/2 hours away. I'm mixed feelings heading into the season as a Steelers fan. On one aspect I look at the defensive side of things and the old cliché "Defense wins Championships", on paper they have to have a top 3 defense hands down. They have experience, youth, and what has been lacking lately, depth. They are stacked on the inside and outside, safety is the lone question mark. The big issue for me is the age of the experienced players, but if they can all stay healthy and play at their anticipated levels the offense will not need to put up 30 points a game to be in the game. On the other hand, I'm still not on the Rodgers experiment hype. At 41 what does he really have left 2 years removed from a season ending knee injury? A young offensive line questionable on both tackles, and sophmore players at center and right guard. I trust the interior more than the exterior at this point. They have no true 2nd WR, and after last season I question Arthur Smith and Rodgers getting along the entire year. Yet, if they only need to score 17 - 24 points a game maybe Rodgers can be a game manager and control the clock. I'm more interested in seeing Will Howard preseason, if he can win the QB2 battle I'll be optimistic on his future. They have a lot of draft capital in 2026, possibly 6 day 1 and 2 picks they coupd really build around him not having to waste it trading up.
Lions will fall off, viking offense is in the danger zone, bears are the bears Packers win the division 14 wins.
I listen to Purple chatter some are saying that the D is so good it is hard for JJ to look good. Jets has hamstring issues Hockenson is sidelined # 2 receiver is suspended 3 weeks. I don't dislike the vikings like I once did not ripping just reporting what I am hearing, oh and the kicking game is problematic actually last two season the purples special teams are underwhelming.
I thought Will Howard injured his hand? I saw he was out for a few weeks, but I could be wrong. I'm with you on that, he's a solid QB and worth building around IMO. (in the future)
Not an NFL fan but I saw a bumper sticker several years ago in Cleveland, Ohio- Go Browns! And take the Indians with you!
That was posted before he broke his finger/hand, reports vary on which it was. Really sucks as he is now set to miss the entirety of preseason. Was really wanting to see him play at game speed.
Oops... Didn't catch the date. That's a bummer, one of the QBs I thought was undervalued but had the talent going into the draft.
