    DK Metcalf/George Pickens....

On paper it sounds like a dream WR pairing,....... if you have a legitimate QB.

With a legitimate QB it sounds like a classic WR1 conflict. Metcalf is happy but what does Pickens think?

Minus a legitimate QB you have two elite status WR's struggling to get their egos fed. One may just settle for the money alreadt given aspect and the other throw a tantrum, or they may both throw a tantrum if QB is not instilled.

I'm not having faith in the next generation of the Rooney's vision and outlook for the Steelers.

I'll never root for another NFL team, but I will not rule out not watching at all.

I was young in the late 70's when "Mean" Joe Greene influenced my team choice, but not young anymore.

Been a good 45 year ride for the most part, a bit of a Bradshaw to Roethlisberger transition excluded.

    Go Steelers!!

PICKENS needs to grow up , DK has been a team originated for a while and a (pro Bowl WR ) i can see a feud brewing if he(Pickens) doesn't grow up.

Just write the Packers in for 13 wins this season. Legacy team every year unlike the rest of the division.

Steelers are going to end up without a QB similar to how they never were able to get a number 1/2 receiver last year.

Maybe what I mentiomed a while back could come to fruition and they go after Arch Manning in next years draft.

At thia point might as well try to get Roethlisberger out of retirement. I'd trust him more than the options left out there, which is Wilson and Rodgers at this point. Can't make someone elses QB2 a franchise level player in an offseason.

41yr old QB for 45 million a year, I wouldn't even consider a Tom Brady or Peyton Manning at that price point and age.

Steelers have gone absolutely nuts in the last 5 years, Rooney's need to consider the possibility of selling. They are no longer the Rooney's that built the Steelers.

Sounds like catering to ticket sales rather than building winning seasons. Rodgers is 40 years old. Aging sucks.

I don't think he'll increase ticket sales any, Steelers already do well, home and away.

He's just not a 45 million dollar QB anymore, especially a year and a half removed from knee surgery and a rather hasty rehab regime.

Look at the drama he is already creating in just making a decision or demands.

Pittsburgh just needs to end negotiations with him and say there's the offer, make your decision before we fill it elsewhere. The Steelers are known for ending distractions, not encouraging and creating them.

At this point I say sign Wilson and with a dual threat receiving core established, see how he does.

Or tell Rodgers, 1 year, 20 million with a 25 million bonus incentive if he wins a SB, with a 2nd year option to be determined at season's end.

Ready for Russel Wilson, will be a nightmare situation if he goes to Cleveland.

He did better year 2 in Denver, same coyld be said in Pittsburgh with a few new targets added, especially if they are able to whoo Kupp in somehow.

Rodgers is going to be toxic if he gets signed, especially if they somehow cave to his ridiculous monetary value on himself. He'll become a low key Brown or Bell all about me drama, no thanks.

    My wishes right now....

First, work out a trade with New England for Joe Milton as a potential development QB, not starter potential but has an upside if developed properly.

    Then...

Resign Wilson, he at least has familiarity with the system, moreso than any other capable starter.

If not feasible, seek a potential trade for Kyler Murray, Michael Penix Jr. or Kirk Cousins.

    Last resort, Mason Rudolph.

Steelers have put the cart before the horse with the Metcalf signing, that killed their leverage for obtaining a quality QB due to $$$ concerns.

Truthfully, if I was Wilson I would tell them to go eff themselves in the event they try to offer him the contract.

Tomlin and Khan have become a disaster the past 2 seasons. Looked good together last year unyil the receiver situation and now this offaeason the QB situatiin taking the same route. Letting the player dictate the timeline and not moving on in a timely manner.

41 year old Rodgers with that line, running back and WR weapons is pretty scary in Minnesota

Jordan Love's next contract will have a "No trade to the Jets" clause in it.

Wilson to the Giants, Fields to the Jets. Rodgers to Steelers. WTF?

Truthfully, I'm not sold on Rodgers to Steelers and a part of me hopes it does not happen.

What I do know is Tomlin has now shown that whatever he wants, he tries to get and does not negotiate. He wanted Wilson and got him, maybe a bit of a surprise he got Fields too. Kahn is still a liability in this.

Tomlin was so Wilson or bust that it is exactly whar he got. A bust. Who knows what Fields would have done after a 4-2 start.

Tomlin did the same thing last year with Ayuik, needing a WR2. Let the player dictate the timeline, while calling a major bluff for a bigger contract with the 9'ers, that never happened" and Ayuik caved to his hopes.

If this Rodgers fiasco fails miserably it is time fir Tomlin and possibly Kahn to go.

If they do not ban the tush push. I would suggest that teams sign a dwarf and just have the biggest o lineman throw the dwarf holding the football for a first down or TD. Perhaps an amish race car driver might be lighter and easier to throw?

Can we just get to the draft already?

So sick of the 4 time MVDiva talk with Rodgers. Rescind the offer and let him go get one with whatever mystical aura he sees fit.

I don't want him in Pittsburgh, and truthfully the entire Pittsburgh coaching/management team needs reevaluated. They have had a total failure 2 seasons in a row with Aiyuk and now Rodgers.

Their Lovestruck mentality to let players dictate their course instead of a take it or leave it now has set them back a few years, and now with the QB position at stake could be on the cusp of a generational rebuild.

Cam Heyward, TJ Watt, Minkah Fitzpatrick all will be worth nothing in 2 years. Defensive scheme has ruined them the past 2-3 without age being a factor.

It's said Tomlin calls a lot of the front office shots on personel descisions. Fire him if he is the hold out for Aiyuk and now Rodgers, ridiculous to let a player go months on a decision and miss out on every other viable option while waiting for the inevitable.

A 41 year old glassman hack. Hope he starts working out and reagrivates his Achilles injury. Would never wish for an injury, just a set back that forces a decision.

That said, ride with Rudolph as the starter and draft Will Howard in the 3rd or 4th as a potential moldable starter of the future. If that fails, the '26 draft looks more appealing.

Not sold on Sanders, Milroe or Dart who will not be there in the 3rd round regadless. Definitely would not draft any of the 3 in the first round, especially moving up, and even if Sanders drops to them at 21.

I'd move up for one person in this draft. Ashton Jeanty, a true Steelers football style player. Get back to the Steelers way, ground and pound with just enough QB to keep the defenses honest.

Control the clock, control the game.

Damn, lost Steve McMichael today. Was never really a Chicago Bears fan, but man, how could you not respect that early/mid 80's defense?
