I'm getting older and my don't give a darn is increasing. Every single thing is analyzed during the Super Bowl and everyone has to defend their choice of whether they stood for a certain song, whether they approve of the halftime show and what those performers mean about life in America, and debating a bunch of other bs topics. Racism, sexism, politics...on and on and on. It is getting so old. I didn't watch a single play of the game.
Was talking to an old friend over the weekend, he is liberal but he is moderate. I am finding that people have given up watching national news and network news because it is toxic doom. Wife and I watch the weather and the sports on even local news. The second half was really entertaining you missed a good game. I am going to sound like an old 60's hippy but just tune out man.
That being said the SB made me realize I am no long part of the main marketing demographic anymore and am old. Many of the commercials my wife and I were wtf was that? I could not name 2 usher songs and the halftime show I just watched like is that what the kids are enjoying now?
Serious question, why do people want freedom, free markets, and all that goes with capitalism, until they don't agree with what was said/done etc? The NFL is selling ad space and as long the buyer meets the standards. I loved the Christian ads and I am sure some groups/people were against them or thought some devilish back-door deals were going on. Just a commercial, life moves on
No, that is what the late 30s/early 40s middle class white soccer moms who still think high school was the best time of life are enjoying. The kids these days have no idea who Usher is and were just as confused. My 12-year-olds thought it was stupid. Sadly, the pole dancers were more modestly dressed than Taylor Swift, whom said soccer moms idolize as a celebrity role model for their daughters.
We lost Cherry Starr today, she was a great woman. Every time they visited Green Bay they ate dinner at Perkins.
Cheers to one of the Greatest Eagles of all times, good luck in retirement Mr. Jason Kelce . Only jersey I own.
Just finished up the Cam Haines podcast with Aaron Rodgers. I'm really starting to like Aaron more and more. Now he's getting into bowhunting!! Got his first bow setup the other day. Pretty neat.
Yes Aaron is a humble man, never one to make it all about himself, very based individual. No way in hell he would gut a deer that he shot.
So if Cousins leaves for Atlanta there is zero point in keeping JJ because he will leave as a free agent. The next week will be interesting
Pretty cool in Detroit last night The Vikings got a good QB, JJ just wins and he has a ton of talent around him in Minny. The lions got a steal at 24 with the Obama CB Bears got a bust
