The funny thing was that he didn't show anything last year that made him worth that much money. That's the mentality of the NFL today - pay a boatload of money for a QB that possibly could be good.

    Matt Flynn comes to mind.

He will only see 36 million. Not like that isn't crazy but he will never see it all.

I'm a big Cowboys fan, if I'm being non-bias about the situation, I'd have to say we will all have our answers on Sunday. I think Philadelphia will be the biggest threat Dallas has faced this season. Sure, the Bengals and Packers were both great defenses, but I believe the Eagles are even better than those teams. If Dak beats the Eagles Sunday, I don't see how you can make the switch back to Tony Romo. Given the history, I think Tony becomes the backup in case Dak starts going downhill or gets injured himself, but at this point - Dak seems to fit the description and this young offense a lot better.

Beating a dead horse here but why in the world wouldn't the NFL finally fix the overtime debacle when they changed the rules a few years back. The frustrating thing is that the solution is simple to everybody else except the NFL. Each team one possession sudden death after that.

Fear of injury in a never ending overtime would most likely be my thought on it. Players union would probably demand more money for players exposing themselves to more time and chance of injury.

While that may be their reasoning, that's a bunch of crap.

There is not a single reason why, in my mind, an NFL game should ever end in a tie.

I don't know. There should always be a winner and a loser.

It's not the only sport that has the regular season Tie option. It is a rather rare event though...crazy we've had two now in just two weeks...and nearly another to OT (Raider game)

    Basketball doesn't. Baseball doesn't. Hockey isn't a real sport. :o

75 minutes of football is certainly a long time but why go through all that to go home in a tie. Although kickers have been the reason for the last two ties, there should be a shoot out like hockey only for kickers. That'd be interesting.

Haha my high school didn't have hockey so I never had a reason to get into it. I watch the Wild if/when they make the playoffs, but that's it.

I think Tony being more and more recuperated is starting to get to his head. He has faced the #1 and #2 ranked rush defenses in the league though the last two games. Beating GB at Lambeau without Dez Bryant would be enough to make any QB crumble.

Nonetheless, he's got a long way to go but as long as he continues to learn I think he could be in the position to be a franchise QB.
