I dont think there is much of a debate. Brady is better then Manning and anybody who believes otherwise doesnt know football (They just like his commercials and think hes cool). Now thats not saying Manning isn't a top 5 all time QB. Pot is stirred.
When Brady had a great defense he won Super Bowls...when he didn't have a great defense he didn't win Super Bowls. I don't think Manning has had a great defense at any time in his career.
Actually, if you read todays Grantland on ESPN, it showed that throughout Manning/Bradys career, their defenses average out IDENTICAL. .....boom.
Are they identical based on statistics? Statistics do not tell the entire truth. Some offenses score fast and the defenses remain on the field a good portion of the time. Other teams run the ball effectively and their defenses are on the field 5-10 plays less per game, thereby skewing the stats. And on and on.
Peyton Manning always had more of a running game then Tom Brady, hell...Edgerrin James ran for 1500 yards four times with Manning.
That stat means nothing. When Brady won Super Bowls the Pats had a dominant defense. When has Manning ever had one of the better defenses in the league? Why do you think Brady hasn't won a Super Bowl since 2004 even though he is a more productive player now?
Manning had a top 10 defense 6 times and won 1 Super Bowl Brady had a top 10 defense 8 times and won 3 Super Bowls
wish they split up championship weekend....a game today, a game on sunday..it used to be like that right? no good hockey games on tv either...
The games have been played the same day for as long as I can remember. I prefer it that way as I don't have to dedicate the entire weekend to watching the games.
I can't remember being so pumped for a non packer/badger game. Can't wait to see how this all plays out. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Looking forward to it! Im in going with Denver and San Fran but wouldn't be surprised if neither of them win.
