The new improved line is great. Sullivan and Kalil are top 5 at their position and Loadholt excels in run blocking. The guards have been nothing special in Fusco and Johnson, but they arent hurting the line too much either. We also arent seeing 3 penalties a game on Loadholt alone anymore and our rookie tightend Rhett Ellison is the second coming of Kliensasser.

We have one of the best lines in the game and the best in the NFC North.

I'm not saying they are the best unit in the league or anything. But, if any O-line has improved more the Vikings has I'm all ears. There is a reason Peterson's average per carry was so low (for him) the past couple seasons...nobody was blocking for him.

    Peterson.

Manning is having a great year for sure, and I like him alot. I just thing all things considered, AP has done more and to come back from the injury he had imo, and then have the year he's having. Hats off to both, either way.

Lets rehash this after Manning wins the Super Bowl, and AP is out after the first round. Just sayin'. A QB means way more, especially in the playoffs.

That wouldn't have any bearing on the league MVP and shouldn't. It could and should impact the Super Bowl's MVP. :D

That is some really confident talk considering Manning is known for poor performances in playoff games...though he did win one Super Bowl

Easily AP. I'm a big Manning fan, but what peterson did was simply incredible. 9 yards away from a 20+ year old record and carrying the Vikes to the playoffs. Manning had a "really good season", as did 3 or 4 other QBS with similar numbers. MVP and comeback player of the year go to AP.

I just hope they don't do a co MVP. I think that's gay. Make up your minds and give it to one or the other. They are big boys their feeling won't be hurt

In all honesty, Manning is getting almost to much MVP consideration IMO. Yes the Broncos have the #1 seed and the longest win streak, and his numbers are great, but statistically, guys like Rodgers, Ryan and Brady played just as well and pushed there teams to the playoffs.

    AP wins this no doubt.

The point is that Manning makes everyone around him better. The Donkey's were no world beaters last year, yeah by some miracle they made the playoffs at 8 and 8 in a bad division, and stole a victory in the playoffs, but they were nowhere near the team they are this year. To me, MVP isn't just about numbers. Look at Tony Romo, guy puts up great numbers usually, but kills his team at almost every critical moment.

Last year the Bronco's were 31st in passing offense, this year they are 5th. Last year, they were 25th in total offense, this year they are 4th. They were 25th in scoring, and are 2nd in scoring this year. That's a night and day difference from last year. What's different? Basically Manning. That's what an MVP type QB will do for your team.

Same basic stats for the vikings as last year. Total offense dropped from 19th to 20th this year, rush offense went from 4th to 2nd and scoring went from 19th to 14th this year. So his season only had a slight statistical impact on his teams overall performance.

So to me, Manning was more important to his teams success then Peterson. That doesn't discount the great season AP had, just pointing out that his great season didn't have a huge overall impact on his teams overall statistical performance.

I have said this many times that I am a huge Manning fan and I am glad he came back and played this great but this is not even close, not only does AP deserve the MVP he deserves EVERY first place vote.

AP 348 carries 2097 yards record ****erson 379 carries 2105
not only did he just come up a 9 yards short of the record he did it with 31 less carries

Manning 4659 yards passing and 37 touchdown passes record 5476 yards and 50 touchdowns
Though he had a great season he did not even come close to any records and played no better than the other top qb's if you want to vote for Manning you better split it with Ryan, Rodgers, and Brady.
