I want to say Manning, but you can't argue with what AP was able to do. Manning was worth 5 wins this year, and a number 1 overall seed. That's pretty impressive though.

MVP - Most valuble player. Without AP there is no team damn near I think that is the meaning of MVP. Manning has a more solid team around him.

Tony Romo.... Really, as a diehard Cowboys fan he should get the MVP simply for finally showing that he will never ever win a meaningful game and showing just how terrible coach Jason Garrett is....now maybe Jerry can get his head out of his arse and bring in guys who actually want to win. Besides that, I gotta say Peyton Manning.... I called him winning MVP before the season on these boards and was told there was no chance....that dude has been just flat out amazing. Yea, AP was awesome but his position isnt as important as QB...simple as that!

Good lord I'm in disbelief at how many people are saying Manning. Seriously?! lol

He did nothing to "carry" a team. He stepped into a team that went to the second round of the playoffs with what some dub as the worst QB of all time in Tebow.

Manning has been impressive, but his numbers nearly mirror that of the other 3-4 top QBs. He stepped into a good team, and did well. As expected of him.

AP nearly broke the single season yards record, missing it by 9 freakin yards. He came back to a team who went 3-13...and turned them into a 10-6 playoff team.

This race isn't, and shouldn't be considered close. What gives?

OK...I guess my judgement is tainted by all the nay sayers saying Manning was done because of the injury ... to see him come out like he did after all that talk and all that time off and not skip a beat was impressive ... but part of that was all the "he should retire" talk.... so between the two, I have to change my vote to AP ...

Griffin and Luck.....even Wilson need to get some sort of look, tho ...look what they did with crappy teams as rookies!

Side note.... if Griffin can stay healthy....OMG ... he may just redefine what an NFL QB will be....

You serious??? I'm a huge Manning fan and your a Vikings hater. ;) Manning Is something else but tell me how many running backs have carried a team compared to a QB? Hardly NEVER happens.

My two posts from another place:

"Adrian Peterson is MVP. Peyton Manning is great and did well but he took a 8-8 division champs team to division champ team still (13 wins). Adrian took a terrible team (3 wins last year) and a way below average QB led offense to 10 wins and playoff berth. NO CONTEST! AP record performance will not be lost in the shuffle of stats over the coming years...to argue against AP as MVP shows a complete lack of NFL knowledge."

"I don't see why people want to give it to Peyton. He's had a killer year, but in the era of QB's it's nothing special and will just dissolve into his career. AP's season will forever be remembered since only a VERY short list has accomplished what he just did. Not taking anything away from Manning (he is playing ridic right now)...but to not give it to AP would make the MVP a joke of an award and should forever be a QB award."

The NFL MVP is no doubt Peterson. He litteraly carried a crappy Vikings team into the playoffs.

Manning's Broncos made the playoffs and won a game last year with Tim Tebow at QB...i would hope they were better this year.

Like mentioned, the QB carries more weight though so we could see a "Brett Favre/Barry Sanders" split MVP again...

Peterson, that team has no business being 10-6 but Adrian has got them there.

Manning is pretty interchangeable with three or four other quarterbacks that could have done that same thing in Denver, no one could match Adrian's performance with the Vikings.

I agree it's Peterson. But don't forget that he was part of the team that went 3-13 last year...he only missed one start if I remember correct (last game of the season). The Vikings have improved greatly on O-line play this season with addition of Kalil...moving Johnson to guard and with Sullivan healthy at Center. Their new full back Jerome Felton made the pro bowl. They improved the secondary greatly through the draft and had Cris Cook back this year. They D-line is still one of the better units in the league (Young Everson Griffen is emerging as a dominant pass rusher). They also drafted Blair Walsh who appears to be the best kicker in the league already. So yes I believe Peterson is the league MVP...but many people are discounting the number of areas the team has improved since last year.

I honestly think there O line Is nothing special. So many times (most times) there was no holes for Peterson to run through. He made his own yards. Kalil Is damn good though.
