^^^ That. A key signing can definatley help. Look at Brandon Marshall. I agree with building through the draft, like TT is very good at. I think GB is usually one of the top percentage teams with the amount of players on the roster drafted by the same team.

You can't tell me that Brees, Warner, Manning, and Favre are "Cherries."

They really did turn those franchises around. Granted Favre only played one season in purple... He took us to the NFC championship game - Where Drew Brees beat us and proceeded to win a Super Bowl.

He played two seasons, but i agree there are some FA signings that are more then cherries.

Steve Young getting the "monkey off his back"? No....its called Deion Sanders.

Warner, Favre, Brees...all FA who made there teams Super Bowl winners and contenders.

Okay one Warner wasn't truly that expensive of a FA signing honestly. He is the perfect example of paying a good amount for an excellent player that was worth the asking price....concede, but he wasn't a HUGE FA risk then.

Favre did do good things but you already had AP, an above average Defense...so yes FAvre was the cherry that pushed you over the top that year.

Manning...how is this even a qualifier? The same team the year prior won a playoff game with freaking Tebow....Manning did exactly as expected and due to injury issues honestly garnered less than he was worth due to risk (not cheap I realize but still easier to swallow than others due to it is Peyton)

Brees...this was a the FA signing that made NO relevant no doubt, however look back on that roster prior to Brees, the potential was there and then once they had him it propelled them a lot towards attracting others and winning...I concede this one, NO doesn't do this it could be very different for the city of New Orleans.

I will invoke the "my opinion" clause. Measuring the impact one had on a team is opinionated at best, so I understand to some each name brought up or others could have been the pot of gold to some.

You being a Cheesehead... It's surprising to me that you call Reggie White and Woodson cherries. You have some crazy opinions ;)

Peppers is a good exaple against the pro-fre agency thoughts too. TT is really a good talent collector, I would trust him if he did pick up a "need."

Gabbert traded to 49ers? Maybe San Francisco won't be paying Colin 18mill/year after all...
