I agree with this even though it's not fair to Derick. I just don't think it would please Houston fans to get another Carr for a QB. Many feel there was a high possibility they would have taken Bridgewater at the top of the 2nd rd but only the Texans know the answer to that.

They've got a lot of young talent at wide receiver and I don't think stevie would have been happy there much longer anyway....seems to be a good thing to me of course I never was a huge stevie fan....not that I think he's a scrub either

Agreed. I just loved his antics like the undershirt he was fined for... Haha

Guess Houston decided screw it we are building a great team to go 4-12 and we will get our QB next year...

Solid for sure there's no doubt about it....he does have one of my favorite stiff arm highlights ever....i think this will be a good move though.....sammy should be a stud and be able to set the pace and we are sitting on a nice pick that we gave up before.....we have a nice draft going.....speaking of solid....GB got a dandy of pick....congrats

They couldn't take Carr, the kid never would have a chance there. I read that there is talk between the Texans and NE trading for QB Ryan Mallet. That kid had a cannon for a arm and was a top rated QB coming out of college but some off the field stuff dropped him down the boards. He's been in no trouble since he was drafted and has been sitting behind Tom Brady for the past few years. All of his preseason games the guy looks good.
Or the Texans could just roll with fitzpatrick:lol:

The punter that the Bears selected in the sixth round benched pressed more reps than Jadeveon Clowney at the Combine.

    Funny fact I heard today.

Im pretty happy with bengals players! An awesome corner in Dennard, get a great running back in Hill to go with Bernard. Got a good de to take over johnson's spot and got a second round qb in McCarron in the fifth round lol. Im ready for season to start to see how everything goes!

Yeah, I don't understand why McCarron fell so far? He only played on the top rated team the past few years in the toughest conference in the nation and took them to back to back national championships. He was 36-4 as a starter.

Sounds like an argument for Tim Tebow :)

What I am hearing about McCaron: Weak arm and questionable accuracy on longer throws. Not very athletic. Decided not to play in the Senior Bowl which turned off many teams. Reportedly, wasn't a very well liked player by teammates which makes teams question leadership ability at next level. Rubbed teams the wrong way in pre-draft interviews.

As a Browns fan I just don't like the Manziel pick. I would much rather they took Carr instead. The Browns need a pocket passer QB with vision of the field who has a quick release. Carr fits that bill and could spend a good 2-3 years behind Hoyer, a veteran who has those same qualities. Manziel has the heart and will to win but look how far that got Colt McCoy and Tim Tebow. If anything, Manziel holds the ball longer than most QBs and then scrambles, the complete opposite of what a QB in the AFC North should do with the defenses he will have to face. QBs like Roethlisberger can get away with it because of his size, Manziel not so much.

No joke, the NFL is patronizing him and parading him around like a show dog. It's nonsense.

I know, not having Gordon will be a huge problem. There is some hope though. Burleson will be healed by camp, Benjamin will be back from his injury in the slot, Hawkins was a nice addition, Cooper hasn't bee utilized yet and should surprise people. Cameron might be what saves us. Lastly, although I don't like him and not hopeful, if Little actually catches the ball he could really make things easier. I honestly think the Browns are trying to be a running team and I'm convinced the Browns will end up trading or signing a WR to stand in for Gordon.

Benjamin and Cameron are your bright spots...everyone else not so much. Cameron is a top tier tight end this year for sure.

AJ McCaron was good because of the players he had around him.
